Bear's dagger is more than just a handy tool; it was made by his father using the strongest steel ever forged, infused with Starlight through an intense ritual, and purified at every one of the Star Deities' shrines, spending 7 days at each. The hilt is made of solid Astronia, a metal that shines like gold, but is far stronger, and can only be found in Star Garden. Tied around the hilt is blessed silk which was woven using the silk of a prized worm. It took 5 years to create and was given to Bear on his 12th birthday. 

Due to its properties, the dagger can never be touched by a Daemon or any creature of Oli'bivion. Contact would result in serious burns, Starlight poisoning, or the dagger falling clean through the limb as it burns away the very bones of a creature of Ebonn. 

Bear refuses to go anywhere without it.
