Iossin (Patreon)

A new type of Daemon I came up with while listening to creepypastas, and it's also a sketch reward for Roman!

Iossin (Ee- Oh- sin) - creatures that are missing the lower half of their bodies, with their spine trailing out like a tail. The upper body has four arms, three fingers on each hand.  The hands are strong and have an intense grip, and they even allow for the Iossin to walk on walls and ceilings. Their hair is usually white and silky, but when touched it feels rough. Iossin have long, prehensile tongues that secret sticky saliva.  Their mouths are full of rows of teeth like a shark, not nearly as large, but still quite dangerous. On their faces they have eight eyes, the large ones for night vision, the small ones for seeing during the day. Only the large eyes glow and reflect light in the dark.

They mostly appear as female but there are male variants which are much larger, most likely because women are easier targets. They all usually wrap a cloth around their torsos, seemingly as an attempt to hide their lower half. They are malevolent creatures that hunt people to either devour them or create more Iossin.

They have no way to reproduce, and are formed from the corpses of people they tear in half. Their strong arms allow them to easily rip a mortals' lower body off, and is then eaten. After the legs are removed, the victim is forced to swallow saliva secreted from the Iossin's tongue, which is shoved down the victim's throat. The victim dies in this process, but after several days it grows extra limbs, their teeth fall out and are replaced by sharp rows, all the cartilage i the body disintegrates, causing the nose and ears to fall off; the tongue and spine elongate, skin turns red and patterns appear all over the body.
