For months I've been itching to comment about E Jean Carroll. For a while I didn't want to listen to the podcast for fear that y'all would talk about her. Because. although I have felt healthy disagreement with many a proffered take (ie. Dasha's failure to recognize the potential aesthetic beauty in Dia de Los Muertos (hint , investigate cempasúchil)) my feelings about your Mis- take re E Jean are different . I think you're dead wrong about E Jean. And it perturbs me to hear how extreme your conviction considering the lack of research. I'm old enough to know the language from the old days, the register of a voice like E Jean's and I think ya'll are mis-reading her because it's not the contemporary vibe/lingo. She's straight up in her own way. I read her column back in the day in Elle. And though she had some slightly hyped stylistic quirks (a fondness for the irksome phrase "Ye Gads!" )she was a straight up straight talking cool woman. She really was. So for me it's like my aunt got raped. And when I hear young/pretty woman giggling along to a rapist's trash talk about my aunt being too ugly to rape, I feel a rage in my fingers that makes it hard to figure out how to work a comments section. Ye Gads y'all , you're falling for it all again! This woman be you. Let not your heart be troubled, the Gran-ma done spaked, with LOVE

she's a dissociate of the deep state now, no matter what she may have been when you were moister
