You probably don't remember but back when Jiraiya was getting elected for hokage before getting Tsunade the two old council people told Jiraiya that the sand surrenderd & apologized here's a simple summary from Google "Having realised that something had happened to their Kazekage, Sunagakure scoured the Land of Wind looking for him. They found his body and, realising they had been manipulated into the invasion by Orochimaru, immediately informed Konoha of what had happened. They surrendered to Konoha and offered their apologies, which Konoha accepted." I'm guessing they made a peace pack again so we're allies right now as they said lol

Yeah nah I remembered that for sure - just didn’t think it’d be the Sand Shinobi we’d fought with so recently haha but it works out for the best tbh! I love this.
