This is my first time ever watching Death Note, and I'll be continuing it once we've gone a little  further with some other stuff on the watch list! Keen to keep going with  you guys on this one!

Man, this was my very first anime. To this day I secretly wish for a Death Note for myself. Have you considered watching Pluto from Netflix? It’s like a modern, mystery noir interpretation of an old school Astro Boy story.

OMGGGGG, super nostalgic! Death Note is on my top 5 or top 10 anime of all time because it is so detailed and clever! This and Fullmetal Alchemist seriously put me in my philosophical era in my teens, made me question life and reality and stuff lol. When this came out when I was younger, it was so interesting how everyone including me (at this time I was in my early teens) was rooting for the main character who is technically the antagonist, but now as an adult I switched sides lol but still love watching it from time to time. It definitely gets darker and darker and more twisted so not sure if you'll vibe with that since it is a psychological thriller but to this day, I am still in awe of how well written it is (all the psychological thriller shows and movies coming out nowadays can't touch this!) and the music is soooo gooood~ From the heavy metal/screamo to the instrumental background music (literally fits with every scene), just *chef's kiss* Pretty much was my gateway into J-rock and J-metal lol. No worries if you don't get to finish the show, but please listen to all of the OSTs!
