Ok so ive been falling hard into this idea that the Beastro boys become a band after the comic lol

So if i may pitch this fictional band history thats been in my mind since march yes i fell down that prog rock wormhole hard, im that pathetic. Thank yoh. Will def finish these later.

Debute album: Diggalicious Animal Boys - (1970)

Their debut album. Most people were turned off by their weird clunky sounding name. They later admitted it was thought of off the top of ryus head and they regretted it. But they did score a minor hit with “Junkband” a folky, psychadelic rock with some early organ heavy prog. Ryu writing most of the lyrics while boofer and amiga wrote the music.

Surrender Dorothy - (1971)

Then their followup. Boofer and ryu collaborated more on lyrics. It had more of a strange prog/bluegrass concept album about an old run down apace port. Each song representing a character. Otis (the orc)’s only written song on the album. a haunting ballad about an old orcs life. (eledgedly about his great grandfather) becomes a modest hit for them.

Pawsome-con - (1972)

Their big high concept rock opera. About a fictional furry con. (They exist in this universe though furry is moor or less earthling here) Telling a story about three different attendees. Much more heavy guitars and leaning more into pregressive rock, it was met with mixed reviews upon release. Some people found the themes a little hard to follow and some felt it was pandering to earthlings. Later grew a cult following and the single “the cum down” became a sleeper hit.

Take The Bait - (1974)

The production behind Pawsome-con was hectic. Ryu became more of a perfectionist on this particular project causing tension amungst the others who felt “more like ryus backing band instead of bandmates” -otis. Creative directions also further drove bandmates apart. Saul was not a fan of the fanciful themes and long complex songs that didnt let him thrash enough, amiga also was unsatisfied with the takes they used and felt his contributions werent raken seriosly.

So saul, amiga, and Otis decided to part ways. Amiga and oris would form their own prog rock band with a drummer (tbd) leaning heavier into classical music, MOR ballads and longer story driven pieces about various fantasy and scifi novels otis may have read. (Very nerdy fanbase). Saul would form his own band with his two sisters. Would play much heavier, louder grungier music. With slight jabs at his former band mates. (They later patched things up)

Anyways. Ryu and boofer remain as the foundning members of dab. After a year of searching they find a keyboardist, Leo. A mule known for his jazz background and his “lighting hooves”. His contributions added a more jazz fusion vibe to this album. Also darker tone. With lyrics more about personal trauma and dramatic themes drawn from life. (drug abuse, sexual abuse, racism and one acoustic song about fhe earth recovering from humans after they left it mostly barren) it appealed to a younger edgier audience. Also noted was more vocals from boofer and less banjo playing deciding for a more jazz infused hard rock

Terrerium - (1980)

After a long break the trio worked on solo projects. Ryu having experimented more with keyboards and drum machines. he contacted leo and boofer with some demos and an idea for a concept album. “Fuck, it was one hell of a risk. But hey we were having fun playing around, it was like the old days again discovering new sounds n shit. Just with newer toys, heh.” This one more about their personal experiences on the beastro. The album is noted for leo singing for the first time. They experimented with a more new wave sound while, Most noticably thebuse of a drum machine. They’re biggest pop hit would come from this album “step inside, good boy” toping the earthling pop chart for one week.

Take care, My Love - (1981)

After the success of their lead single of their last album. Ryu felt pressure to deliver again, he, Leo and boofer rented a room in a bath house for the weekend and “milked the fuckin building before we even wrote a fuckin note haha!!!” After a weekend of heavy partying, they decided to write more about their sexual excapades. Their singles, heavy with innuendo. It was a surprising turn for their older fans. Wom were Expecting another shift in style instead of leaninr further into it. going “farther from their prog roots to straight new wave.” Their top 40 hit “the right spots” became an unofficial anthem for intersex pride.

(And that is all i got for now. Will finish these eventually as well as maybe do a couple for their later years and maybe some accociated acts hehe. iono this is so fun to do despite how pathetic hha you giys wil get the finished ones first of course im kinda hooked on this idea)
