It had been a routine salvage run, investigate a distress call from a seemingly derelict freighter that has drifted far from the standard planetary shipping lanes. Check for survivors and assess the damage and possible value of the abandoned vessel.

The ship was neither damaged nor abandoned. Internal atmosphere was stable and the crew was present. But the biggest shock wasn't the ships condition, it was it's mission.

It wasn't a distress call, it was a lure. A tantalizing bit of bait left to see what exotic prey it might draw in.

Samus entered the ship unaware. Once the airlock pressurized she removed her helmet. Little did she know the oxygen mixture being pumped in included a powerful sedative.

How long it had been since that day she didn't know. Weeks. Months. She had been subjected to a rotating assortment the most depraved alien species this corner of the galaxy has to offer.
