Hi everyone, here's the winning career from last weekend's poll! Now your Sims can enjoy a brand new career in optometry. This is made with the new method I mentioned, and includes paid time off, and is a full-time career. Hope you like it! 

If you're wondering about the {0.SimFirstName} and other brace-y weirdness going on in the career descriptions, that's to allow personalization for your own Sims, like this;

You can use MC Command Center to promote your Sim (From a computer in-game, click Cheats>Career>Promote), OR if you have UI Cheats Extension you can right-click on a job icon in the career panel to promote or demote your Sim, OR the cheat below if you don’t want to complete the objectives.

To pause a level, and keep your current job title, and if you have MC Command Center, you can “freeze career” under Sim Flags.

There are 10 levels available, as follows;

1. Optical Receptionist
Congratulations on the first step on the ladder, {0.SimFirstName}! {M0.He}{F0.She} has bagged a job at the local eyeglass store, and will be helping customers book appointments, and arrange for them to collect their brand new specs!

2. Eyewear Consultant
Well done on the promotion! Now {0.SimFirstName} can stroll the shop floor, confident in the knowledge that {M0.He}{F0.She} is on the way to actually having a certification in optometry. Not quite yet though! {0.SimFirstName} can just point customers in the right direction for sunglasses and designer frames for now.

3. Apprentice Optician
This is more like it! More money, too! {0.SimFirstName} might just be starting out in the trade, and will be under the supervision of an experienced option. {M0.He}{F0.She} gets to work directly with customers though! How is your Charisma skill looking, {0.SimFirstName}? 

4. Licensed Optician
This promotion will sound better on {0.SimFirstName}'s resume, won't it? Now {M0.He}{F0.She} can fit and dispense corrective lenses, and help Sims see everything in 20/20!

5. Contact Lens Technician
{0.SimFirstName} isn't squeamish, is {M0.He}{F0.She}? Not everyone can poke another Sim in the eye without making their own water, but this is all part of the training. {0.SimFirstName} will assist with patient care, fitting and general clinical duties.

6. Visual Function Technician
Now {M0.He}{F0.She} has moved away from the local store and into a specialist clinic, {0.SimFirstName} will find themself performing complex imaging techniques, and assist Ophthalmic Photographers with ultrasounds and tomography. {0.SimFirstName} knows what that means, right?

7. Ophthalmic Photographer
Now {0.SimFirstName} has their hands on some really exciting equipment, and will be using angiographic and video techniques to detect various disorders. If only {M0.He}{F0.She} could spell all of those technical terms...

8. Ophthalmic Nurse
{0.SimFirstName}'s training and experience in ophthalmology has put {M0.Him}{F0.Her} in new role, to provide specialist support for eye clinics, wards and operating theatres. {M0.He}{F0.She} might even get a promotion to something that really pays the big bucks yet!

9. Ocular Prosthetist
{0.SimFirstName} has seen every level of eye damage by now, but what happens when a Sim is missing an eyeball altogether? This promotion will see {M0.Him}{F0.Her} fitting ocular and oculofacial prostheses!

10. Medical Ophthalmologist
{0.SimFirstName} made it to the top, and is part of an emerging and exciting specialty, concerned with the medical assessment, investigation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with disorders of vision. {M0.He}{F0.She} might have to put in the hours still, but the simoleons will be rolling in!

 You’ll work on a few different skills, but if you don’t want to do these, you can just right-click on them in the career panel to complete them, if you have the UI Cheats Extension Mod (see above) installed.
