I just wish we had a Sewing skill, then this would be SO much better. But hey, I did what I could!

You can use MC Command Center to promote your Sim (From a computer in-game, click Cheats>Career>Promote), OR if you have UI Cheats Extension you can right click on a job icon in the career panel to promote or demote your Sim, OR the cheat below if you donā€™t want to complete the objectives.

To pause a level, and keep your current job title, and if you have MC Command Center, you can ā€œfreeze careerā€ under Sim Flags.

Cheats available: CAREERS.PROMOTE TAILOR

There are 10 levels available, as follows;

  1. Alteration Assistant
Every career must start somewhere, and yours begins at the mall. You'll be working in a small alterations store, adding zips, taking in clothing and letting out hems.
  2. Sewing Machinist
The local factory was hiring, and you just got the job. Now you'll be working amongst other machinists, sewing in mass for different companies.
  3. Bridal Seamstress
Brides can be picky creatures, and you'll need to be on hand in the Bridal Boutique to pin customers into the dress of their dreams! Once the fit is right, you'll make the necessary adjustments in time for the Big Day!
  4. Garment Technologist
Now you're a Garment Technologist, you'll join a growing, yet well-established supplier of garments to the high street, working in their denim division. Double denim... Yay or nay?
  5. Sample Maker
As a Sample Maker, you'll be well, making samples. Clients will send in their designs, and you will create a sample piece for their approval. If they like it, it will be made in bulk in a factory, and you'll start to see your hard work being worn all over Sim City!
  6. Made-to-Measure Specialist
Some Sims refuse to buy off the rack. They want something made especially for them, so that's what you'll be doing now. You'll receive their measurements in an order form, and create an item of clothing that will fit them like a glove!
  7. Creative Designer
You have a flair for design, so now it's time to try your hand at the whole process. You'll design new pieces and create them yourself. Maybe the next fashion trend will be all your doing!
  8. Bespoke Tailor
Bespoke suits are all the rage. Sims don't want to be seen in something anyone could buy- they want something exclusive to them. It's up to you to ensure you're creating something that fits perfectly, looks amazing, and is totally unique.
  9. Costume Designer
Your designs and creations are a hit, and you have skills others only dream of. Now you've been noticed by the movie industry, and you'll be designing and creating the costumes seen on set. The only way is up!
  10. Master Tailor
Congratulations, Master Tailor! You've done it; you've reached the top of your chosen career. You can take on Apprentices or bask in the knowledge that you can do anything! At least, with a needle and thread!

Youā€™ll work on a few different skills, but if you donā€™t want to do these, you can just right-click on them in the career panel to complete them, if you have the UI Cheats Extension Mod (see above) installed.

To install, extract all the files in the zip directly to your Mods folder. Full instructions for installing CC can be found HERE
