This is for the lovely Diane! She has a struggling fortune telling Sim that needs a paying career, and I hope this works for her.

You can use MC Command Center to promote your Sim (From a computer in-game, click Cheats>Career>Promote), OR if you have UI Cheats Extension you can right click on a job icon in the career panel to promote or demote your Sim, OR the cheat below if you don’t want to complete the objectives.

To pause a level, and keep your current job title, and if you have MC Command Center, you can “freeze career” under Sim Flags.

There are 10 levels available, as follows;

1. Festival Fortune Teller
   The Festival is in town, and you've been invited to read for patrons. They'll come to you with their woes, and hopeful of good news for the future!
    
2. Telephone Psychic
   An up and coming Psychic TV station wants you! You're not ready to be behind the camera yet, but you'll be fielding calls that don't make it through to the studio. What's the big mystery with Strangerville? What happened to Bella? Why do I just stand around with my head bobbing? These are just some of the questions you'll be expected to answer.
    
3. Tarot Card Reader
   Reading the Tarot takes time and practice, but your skills are rapidly developing. You've just drawn The Lovers for Don Lothario, but what does it mean for his future in romance?
    
4. Private Psychic Reader
   Why read for just anyone when you're in such high demand? Now, you'll be called upon by the upper class, and even celebrities to tell them what's ahead. Can they expect love? A career change? Only you can reveal all, Psychic {0.SimFirstName}.
    
5. Psychic Development Tutor
   You've fine-tuned your clairvoyance, and your readings are always accurate. Now you'll be helping others learning their abilities to explore and expand on them!
    
6. Gallery Reading Host
   A Gallery Reading is an intimate gathering where you, the intuitive reader, will bring messages from the spirit world to a group of (paying) Sims!
    
7. Intuitive Energy Healer
   You'll now be learning how to rely upon your various psychic abilities and guides to perform energy healing. Through Reiki and laying on of hands, you'll help Sims overcome their negative emotions.
    
8. Psychic Website Owner
   So many Sims want readings from you that you just can't keep up. So, you've decided to create your own website, and if you employ a few psychic Sims to work for you, the Simoleons will roll in. Write horoscopes, read the tarot and provide romance readings for your clients.
    
9. TV Medium
   Your work has been noticed, and you've been asked to appear on television. It's a regular slot too! You'll now be reading for live audiences, which will be broadcast nationwide. {0.SimFirstName} is getting a message from the other side...
    
10. World-Renowned Psychic
    Your fame is growing, and Psychic {0.SimFirstName} is a household name. Enjoy your new position at the top of the transcendental ladder.
    
    You’ll work on a few different skills, but if you don’t want to do these, you can just right-click on them in the career panel to complete them, if you have the UI Cheats Extension Mod (see above) installed.
