Because he could not remember either his father, or his mother, or the country where he was from. The director of the orphanage gave him her last name and a new name Yu, which meant “Feather and Bird”, with this Yakushi Nono wanted to say that she wanted Yu to be free like a bird when he grew up. There, Yu was trained in medical ninjutsu in order to be able to help the orphanage earn money. However, in his heart Yu was completely unhappy; once in the Naruto universe, he did not receive anything that could help him quickly get stronger and become stronger.

No magic system, no powerful improved genome, no incredible talent. Yu didn’t have all this, all he got was just an ordinary body and at the same time a weak talent. In the Naruto universe, an improved genome, a special bloodline, talent, all of them played a decisive role in the future achievements of the ninja. And as a person who knew the ninja world very well, Yu understood perfectly well that without this it would be extremely difficult for him to become someone outstanding in this world.
