Love the pod so much. There’s got to be a way to fix the audio issues with the guests. It’s really frustrating as a fan. I’ll contribute $100 next month to this cause of enabling guests to record their direct input and mixed together instead of the zoom audio.

Hey, Alpha. This is Brian, the producer for the show. The majority of our guests (>90%) do actually record their audio locally. I insisted on that from the beginning. What you're hearing is not Zoom audio, but simply what it sounds like when anyone records audio via, in this episode's case, wired Apple headphones in a noisy and reverberant room. I process those files to remove echo and background noise without making it sound robotic or "watery", but there's only so much that can be done. I appreciate you offering to contribute more to the show, but the problem is one with hardware, not software. I'm totally with you. I wish the audio quality of the show could be improved overall, but limiting ourselves to only guests that have dedicated recording gear and quiet, sound treated rooms would mean missing out on a lot of incredible guests.

So I posted this morning when I saw it was paul Welsh and cissy. After listening a few times at work I conclude Paul Welsh is a goddamn national treasure. I have missed his comedy. I used to wait excitedly for the new Hard Bros episodes. Cissy is also absolutely amazing. Her first solo ep is a masterpiece.
