Hi Everyone --

We're back with a check in to let you all know what we've been up to, how we're trying to stay active and informed participants in the Black Lives Matter Movement, and just generally update each other and everyone about our June.

We hope everyone is doing well, and want to reiterate some of the sources we've found valuable and organizations we encourage our listeners to support:

The Black Emotional and Mental Health Collective (Beam)
Bail Funds for Protestors
The Los Angeles Food Bank
Transform Harm
Vote Save America
The Sellout by Paul Beatty

But I’m also by no means the one who can make the calls of what we should or shouldn’t do to help. Just wanted to offer my perspective

Yeah, if you can't be there, maybe you can donate. If you can't donate. maybe you can write letters to government or show up to these Zoom meetings for City Council. Or maybe all you can do is amplify someone else's voice. If you don't feel like you are doing enough, you are probably on the right track at least. You care. But not everyone can do everything, or be on the front lines. But that doesn't mean you can't do something important. There's a lot of ways to participate. (At least that's what I tell myself to feel better. :) ) Dan/Ryan: I know because you're not monsters you feel a little weird about doing comedy in these times. But art is important too. And comedy podcasts have been quite a solace while being stuck at home for 14 weeks and having our whole office laid off. So definitely come back when you're ready, but know you *are* helping people by what you are doing. :)
