UPDATE:

Download ALPHA # 2 from here instead!

ORIGINAL POST:

Ah... And here we are, after exactly "72 hours".  No more. Just as promised...

You know, I think it's about time to retire this title-screen/promo art and come up with something fresh for when the v0.10 Full Release comes out... Whenever that'll be.

First, it's time to finally take that unpaid break I started over 10 days ago. Got some strong thoughts about what might be a healthier release schedule leading up to v0.10. But I'll keep them to myself for now. Regardless of how I feel about the lack of content, new features, and polish on display here... Truth be told, I'm pretty sure it has more to offer in all 3 of those categories than the current public build so I guess it is a good idea to play this ALPHA instead if you were planning on replaying soon v0.09 anyway.

As for what's actually in this release, well, that's all I've really talked about in the blogs over the last several months so I think it's best just to dump the links and novel length changelog here and let them do the talking.

Thank you all so very much for your patience and support. I could never have undertaken such a massive overhaul of the game without your continued backing. Hopefully you can get a better picture of where I'm headed with things now.

I know I have a lot of lost ground to make up for this year, so I appreciate that it might be frustrating for me to take a break at this point in time, but I (and my back after this extra week of crunch) really need it to combat burnout after working through the December holiday period as well. I'll be back sometime around the first week of March, give or take. Since I've already worked so deep into February, I might need a bit longer.

Of course, I'm not really going anywhere. Obviously, please submit all the bug reports, feedback and overall thoughts you have on the build either in the comments here or over on the Discord. I want to hear everyone's honest thoughts on some of these new systems now that they can experience these early implementations and get a better feel for what I'm going for. Things are still quite bare-bones and unbalanced, but now that you can see where I'm at, I'm sure there will be a lot of great suggestions put forward in the days and weeks ahead. :)

Hope it all works well considering how much extra time spent play-testing. I'm sure something simple is massively busted though. :')

Concrats to this release. I looking forward to play this gem once again. Edit: is this special B-patch from your blogspot still working with the latest build? Thanks in advance and good luck, my friend. :)

Jimjim3dx

Thanks. And yes it is still the current, up to date version. But I imagine it will be updated in the next release for the new content. It'll certainly say on that page when it has been updated. :)

Love that titfuck scene more if that!

Sharkboybeast

From what I was able to play already I already love it. Now that I can choose what to level up, I don't have use the pistol as much.

Sorry if you already answered this, but I can't see it written above: Does the old beast patch still work or is there a new one to down load?

i read what you fixed and when i played it and it still does it *Fixed a bug where Zombies would not trigger combat when bumping into Tiffany's Companions on the map.

I'm having an issue where my new saves won't archive. Everytime I open the game, it asks about the modified files and to archive but when I enter the password it says it can't modify a locked archive. Anyone know how to fix this issue?

Jimjim3dx

You should extract the archive before playing the game. I suggest Winrar or 7zip.The password is 72Hours with the H being capital.

Jimjim3dx

I'm going to need more info than that. It works whenever I test it. It triggers combat whenever they touch a companion's sprite.

its where i go to barkley farm and pick up debra and all the horses and when i get the horses whenever go into in the trees and the zombie horse trys to come get tiffany it will get close to one of the horses it triggers a fight i am going to see if it does with the dog and vanessa

Jimjim3dx

That seems to be working as intended. Just to clarify, combat is supposed to trigger when the zombies touch your party members. The bug was that in previous versions it was not.

Anonymous

what i was thinking that vanessa should have a choice to go inside the pharmecy and she could hide somewhere while tiffany looks around to secure the area just a thought

Jimjim3dx

It's already an option to bring Vanessa into the Pharmacy on Day 1. Just not with Robert.
