Hey all,

As always, meant to get this out sooner. Originally I kept forgetting to re-post some of this stuff here or working too late into the night and running out of time to write blog posts (Have I mentioned I hate spending time on writing blog posts? :'D ). So after a while, a bunch of these little, minor things I've been slowly rendering on the side have piled up and I guess I have a small gallery attached for those of you not in the loop. A lot of this is stuff you would have seen if you've been keeping up with me on Discord or Twitter. But like I said, it occurred to me that not everyone follows what I'm doing there, so here's what you've missed:

  • I surpassed 2K Twitter followers so did I little celebration image, turned comic with Vanessa. 
  • I did a quick and dirty participation in the "JackO pose challenge" trend where everyone was making art of their characters doing this pose that I have Tiffany in. (Apologies, but I accidentally overrode my original renders for the behind shots with the watermarked version intended for twitter) It's a fun setup for a scene, like with the leg up meme/trend I did a while back, and I would have loved to render some more images for it, but alas, there's no time for that. There's a game to polish up...
  • And the other thing I was doing was completing the character profile renders for some of the girls. This is an ongoing process. As you can see from the image gallery, I've done Vanessa, Hitomi, Debra so far. More will come whenever I get a spare moment to set one up. Probably Ali next. Most character renders I do these days have front & back renders + nude variations. But I didn't always bother with some of these earlier characters. Now, I don't have complete written character profiles atm, but I am slowly working on them as I flesh out the Terminal Desires lore bible and other background material such as the Quickies stories (of which I have many ideas but limited time and resources). You will see those things some day though when they are done and polished. Then you'll finally know vital info such as what the girls' favorite foods are! (Did you know, it's not all jizz!?) These renders are also good resources to have as references when ordering art commissions or putting together what a character looks like for an upcoming audition script... 


Anyway, as for a quick update with where I am at with the game. Things are going well enough. Still heading towards that playable ALPHA build that focuses on the overhauled gameplay features before diving into all the new content that you're actually excited for in the BETA. Speaking of which, I put up a poll for the $5+ tiers to vote on a few days ago. It's a basic poll listing all of the planned sex scenes for v0.10 and asking the simple question of which scenes you would like me to prioritize for the BETA. All of the scenes will, of course, eventually make it into v0.10's full release, whenever that is. This poll is just to let me know which ones I should try to focus on first for when the BETA drops sometime around the End of November/Early December (If everything goes smoothly which as we know here, it ALWAYS does...) 

I'll leave most of the details for the next proper devblog (hopefully next week) so I'm not repeating myself or dragging this post out too long(I did say it was supposed to be brief), but apart from continuing the implementation of existing work I've already started and talked about before in many areas of the game, I've also recently added:

  • A "Reload/Repair" hotkey. Press 'R' while on the map & Tiffany will reload all weapons (if she has ammo) & use any repair kits(can choose none, one or multiple at once depending on how many she has).
  • Loot Container "types" for distributing the new random loot items (influenced by Tiffany's Luck stat). I talked about this a couple of times, but this makes it so that you don't find things like grenades in fridges or $500 in a trash can. I've got 10 different container "types" right now and with the system I've implemented can easily add more if additional container types or new item types are required as the game continues to expand.
  • The final (for now) implementation of my basic Perk selection menu. I've also settled on around 30 Perks/Traits I'm adding as an initial baseline to start with. I've got more ideas, and there will be even more added as new gameplay opportunities pop up later in development, but right now I just needed a nice small selection to start with. The Level Cap right now is set to 35. With 1 perk per level up, that's a total of 34 Perks you can acquire in the game. However, I think the highest anyone could get right now in the current v0.10 dev build is around Level 15 (If you kill most enemies in the game) But I will have to test that. I tried to come up with a good balance of Perks that benefit players engaging with the game's combat mechanics as well as players who are only really here to have sex with everything that moves. For those players in particular, they'll want to take the "Sexual Education"  Perk early. That will allow Tiffany to gain exp from having sex with her opponents (20% of their combat exp reward). Like I said though, I'll do a full breakdown of those perks in the next DevBlog. But the main goal is to help provide the player with more gameplay options to facilitate their roleplaying needs when building their Tiffany. I'm currently in the middle of actually making them work in game. Adding them has the potential to cause a lot of bugs and unintended scenarios when combining all of their stacking effects in different ways, so that's why I want to get them in, in time for the ALPHA release. So that I can get player feedback and deal with any bugs, since it will be hard for me to test all the different combinations.
  • Several backend changes that may improve performance for some, especially when playing lots of audio files in succession which is important for the new rng sex sfx and dialogue system during sex scenes which I've previously demoed and am still tweaking
  • And began my work on overhauling the East part of town map. 

And ofc more stuff but I either have talked about it at length already or it's not major enough to be worth mentioning here. (Adding new stuff means introducing new bugs, but it's not really a "bugfix" worth mentioning if you never even played a build where it could occur).

I've also received the recorded Guard move dialogue lines for Tiffany. So once I've finished polishing up the issues I had with the audio for that first scene I shared with you a few weeks back, I'll re-record the improved version and release it publicly as well to show off the progress. (And then I can finally stop talking about the v0.10 audio :P)


One last thing, I spent the first half of my day going into the city to get my 2nd vaccine dose. Last time my arm arm felt sore the day after, so I'll take a break tomorrow. So that's why I may not be around tomorrow. But I am fully vaxxed now if anyone cared. (Not that I was an at risk group). But then, I'll be back to work and see how much I can get implemented and polished up before the end of the month and put out a Dev Blog with some more details and screenshots (Just don't expect a heap of cool renders since that's not my focus at this particular phase of development).

Oh and the 2nd part of the "Terminal Quickies: Jailbreak" story will finally be out with it's next 3 art pieces for everyone before the end of the month too. Just waiting on a couple final corrections now...
