v0.09 - First week of December... Probably.... (Patreon)

^ Dropping more than just the ball...

Hello everyone, 

Just a quick "heads-up" post (And I can make it public too since it doesn't contain any adult content) to let you all know, that as everybody predicted, I still have no clue what I'm talking about when it comes to release dates. Something I knew months ago, but figured I'd try to hold myself to once more just to see if I could... Sorry. My ideas for these upcoming scenes ballooned a little too much again, and creating all the extra renders has taken more time. 

As of right now, I've got just under 50 renders (variations included) to get done over the next 3 days if I want to reach my November 30 deadline in time... And that’s already after cutting around 20. So obviously this isn't going to materialize and I’ll be working into the first week of December to get this done to an acceptable standard that I’m happy with. The only alternative is the main scene fading to black half way through and then skipping to the end until a future version, which is lame so I'm not going to do that. 

I still plan on taking the month of December off however, since it’s still the best time for me, which complicates things. (My break isn't actually a break, I'll still be working, just on my own time. I'll explain it better in a podcast after v0.09 comes out) I’ll be pausing this Patreon page so nobody currently pledged will get charged for next month. (Although any new pledges or edits made in December will go through I believe) And I'll also be sending out download links for v0.09 via DM to any ex-patrons who were pledged at the $5 tier during October or November, as well as $1 tier patrons from November (at the time when the active $1 tier gets their release).

So, when's it going to be done? Well, I’m basically just going to enter self-sacrificial super crunch, make some extra cuts where I can and try to get this thing out as close to November 30 as I can. Don’t worry though: any planned renders that I do end up cutting from v0.09 will make it into v0.10. So you’ll see the extra renders eventually when replaying that section of the game. (Recall that v0.10 will require a fresh save game from the start)

I also just want to apologize in advance if I’m even less responsive and active than usual over the next week, just trying to focus all of my time on the game. I will still try post what little "non-spoiler" previews I can while going through the rendering & editing process. There are a number of things I want players to experience for themselves with this version though, so that is the reason behind the lack of previews. Also, it's just a short update with 2 scenes total, but a lot of renders and variations...

Speaking of which, I have to get back to it. To everyone who's played Terminal Desires, especially those who have directly supported the game's development here, I thank you for your patronage and understanding. I will try my best to power through this last hurdle of the year and get v0.09 out to the $5+ tiers as soon as I possibly can.
