Updated Development Roadmap (2020 & Beyond) (Patreon)

Hey everyone,

First off, all patrons should now have access to the v0.08 ALPHA.  So go and check it out if you don't feel like waiting until the full version to get the next chunk of the story. Speaking of which, I am hoping to get the Full Release for v0.08 out by the end of the month, with a BETA a few days beforehand for $10 patrons to test if they wish.

Now, my plans for the upcoming versions (including v0.08) are a little different from before, as I have made the decision to break things up into more manageable chunks (to develop), but also (as explained a while back in one of the development blogs) I will need to break save files after the Casino Content in order to implement new features and optimize my code to speed up some parts of development. And because of that, I need to also add in a new version where I work on primarily the back end, but will also be adding some new content to the game's intro and first 2 days, prior to the Casino as well as a lot of fixes/improvements for the content in those days. 

One more thing before getting started. Giving release date ETA's has proved pointless and caused more harm than good. So I won't be doing it anymore, until I am at least somewhat capable of meeting my own internal deadlines. 

Anyway, here are the current rough plans for the foreseeable future of Terminal Desires: 

v0.08 Full Release

Planned Content:

• All v0.08 ALPHA content +
• Re-rendered combat sex scenes with Tiffany’s new body types for these enemies: Male Zombie, Female Zombie, Sewer Zombie, Alpha Zombie.
• Stealth mechanic: Cover Tiffany in zombie cum to blend in!
• Stumble mechanic: Tiffany struggles to get used to her new proportions.
• Gameplay side effects for pregnancy. (Still under discussion)
• New Futa/Female Zombie sfx. (Thanks to TheVoiceVixxen) 
• More bug fixes & improvements.

Not much more to say here given that the Alpha is out and you can experience the bulk of the new content right now. 

For the most part, the re-rendered combat sex scenes will be the same as existing scenes, just with Tiffany's new proportions. This is because I need to make these scenes "compatible" as fast as possible. In the future I will of course be doing new scenes for the existing enemies, but for now, I need to get them "playable" again asap. But, the female Zombie will be getting a new fisting scene instead, as was voted by patrons some time ago.

I believe I went into details on the stealth mode mechanic either in a dev blog or a podcast, but I will be sure to cover the specifics of it moving forward as I develop it this month.  Basically it will be something Lara teaches Tiffany about, so that the player can stop the zombies from following them around the map... at the cost of Tiffany becoming addicted to zombie cum if she stays covered for too long. :)

This should be done by the end of April if everything goes well. 

v0.09 (Small Update)

Planned Content:

• Conclusion of the Casino story content (The remaining 2 scenes).    
• New sex scene between Tiffany, Lara & an unique infected boss...
• Initial support for Lara as a companion (Like Debra)
• Potentially a short, zombie glory hole scene if time permits.

^ It will of course be possible for Lara to be stripped during combat.

This one is fairly straight forward. The goal is to finish the remaining 2 casino story scenes here. Confrontation with Romeo, Infected boss fight/sex scene with Lara as a companion, and an epilogue scene that sets up future plot events.

This was all content that was originally planned to be in the full version of v0.08. But since I want to work on some smaller versions to increase development output, I decided to split it up into it's own version. I expect it to take about 1 month to develop after finishing v0.08's Full Release.

And if I end up with extra time, I will add the first of many planned glory hole scenes. If I don't get time... Well, it will be pushed back to a future version such as v0.10 or v0.11 at the latest. 

v0.10 (Large Overhaul Update)

Planned Content:

• Necessary code optimization & overhaul. (Will result in breaking save files)
• "Sex Scene Gallery" feature.  (To view unlocked sex scenes)
• Improved Intro section.
• First part of a small side quest to help Hitomi/Dr. Milburn collect DNA samples for their research… 
• Some other new quests & scenes on Day 1 & 2. (Pre-Casino)
• First batch of voiced lines for Tiffany (Thanks to TheVoiceVixxen)
• Pregnancy status page. (With all the relevant info)
• "Autosave" feature. (Will auto-save to unique slots upon map change)
• "Reload All" & "Repair Armor" Hotkeys. 
• Many more features, improvements & fixes that I've been meaning to add for a while. 

^ What!? How did we end up back here!!!

This is one of those necessary versions, that has to be done in order to move forward with the game. I primarily need to break saves in order to properly redo the code that will help me manage Tiffany's (and by extension, the other girls') bodies. I am able to do it now (in v0.08) because Tiffany doesn't have any clothes to wear at this point in the story. Basically I'm cheating in order to allow your saves to be compatible for as long as possible. But after the Casino Story is done, one of the first things that will happen, will be Tiffany getting her updated outfit. So until we get to that point, I am able to put this off. 

It is also a great opportunity to redo a lot of my crappy code from the early portions of the game, and add some new plugins/features that would have not worked or caused crashes with existing saves. And of course, now that I have a much better idea of where the game is heading specifically (vs when I started) I can add a lot of things into the back end to hopefully future proof the game and prevent this sort of thing from having to happen too often during ongoing development.

Of course, since you will have to play from the start, I am planning on adding a few new scenes to make it more worth your while. So there will be some new content to look forward too as well. I am looking forward to working on this, though I apologize since I know most people probably just want new story content and don't want me breaking their saves and working on old sections. But it is necessary in order to progress I'm afraid.

I will have lots to talk about with regards to the new features and such as I begin development on this version in the coming months. I suspect it will take at least 2 months to develop this version once I start. 

v0.11 (Medium Update)

Planned Content:

• New Areas (North part of town, Post-Casino).
• New Zombie Beast (Z hound) with 1 combat sex scene.
• New “Sleeper” Zombie (2nd place from the 2K Goal poll) with 1 combat sex scene.
• Re-rendered combat sex scenes with Tiffany’s new body types for these enemies: Futa Zombie, Double Dick Zombie. 
• Tiffany’s updated blue outfit (slightly police themed ;P) with the additional armor piece (Mini-Skirt) added.
• The first Glory Hole scenes will definitely be here (if not already added in a previous version)
• Potentially some side quests with new characters & scenes if time permits. 

^ Tiffany's complete, new look, will first be seen in v0.11 [4 armor pieces total] 

This will be the version where you'll get to exit the casino and venture into the north side of town, only to find even more trouble of course  ;) Tiffany will spend v0.11-v0.14 stuck in the north side of town. But it shouldn't be so bad since there is a wealth of content to get through and new people to meet (and fuck) :P

Originally this was going to be a bigger update that started the next section of the main story too. But I have decided to split that part off into the next version instead so I can focus on delivering each half individually. So this will be the exploration part where you can encounter new enemies, areas and hopefully characters, all with Tiffany's new blue outfit with badge and miniskirt.

Probably 1-2 months to develop. 

v0.12 (Medium update)

Planned Content: 

• 4 new characters (2 male, 2 female – including Ali).
• A zombie horde gangbang scene (Tiffany & 5 Male Zombies).
• A zombie sex scene with the new female character(to be named and designed) where you can choose whether to let her turn or save her.  
• A sex scene between Tiffany & one of the new male characters (to be named and designed).
• A fun sequence with Tiffany & Ali... ;)
• New weapon: SMG (9mm rounds).

^ Finally!!! 

This will be the next big continuation of the main story, after the Casino. Will finally meet Ali, along with other characters too. A lot of people have requested a female character that they can choose to watch get infected or save, so this will contain the first of those. Along with a medium size gang bang scene with multiple loops/cum shots (Interested to see how that goes...) and more :) 

Probably 1-2 months to develop.  

From here, the roadmap remains essentially the same as before, but this may change in the future as we get closer to these versions.  

v0.13 (Large update)

Planned Content:

• This version will be a special flashback sequence where you play as Ali when the infection started! ($750 Patreon goal!).     
  • At least 4 sex scenes while playing as Ali.
  • Introduce 8 other characters (5 male, 3 female) that were with Ali in the flashback.
  • Introduce an important antagonist for ACT 1 of ‘Terminal Desires’.  
  • New swimsuit outfit for Ali to wear during part of this flashback sequence (to be decided by patrons).
  • Make choices as Ali in this flashback that will affect her character in the current time...

^v0.12-v0.14 has a pretty hefty amount of Ali content to look forward to!

Yes, the fabled, long awaited, Ali flashback sequence! So close, but yet so far...

This is something that has been in the planning stages since we passed the $750 goal a long time ago. This version will have new content that takes place inside a flashback where Ali is filling Tiffany in on her experiences so far... You'll be able to go back to day 1 of the infection in Ashton lake (just over 1 week ago) and play several sections of story and gameplay as Ali, and even make some choices there that will have an impact on Ali's personality/corruption level back in real time when we return to her conversation with Tiffany, as she leads her towards where her group of survivors are holed up.

I've done a lot of planning on this one. My plans are basically 95% set in stone here, but it's too early to reveal too many things. We'll see a lot of new characters introduced in this flashback, but who knows how many will make it? (I do, lol) I'll just say this: if you want to see a bunch of people get fucked up by zombies, then this should be a fun one! I even plan on introducing one of the major antagonist characters for ACT 1 of TD who has some important character ties that should be fun to explore in future versions :) It might just have the biggest dick yet...

Probably 2 months to develop. 

v0.14 (Large update - Likely to become 2 smaller versions)

Planned Content:

• Meet the rest of Ali’s group of survivors at their safe zone. So far it’s looking like: 14 new characters (7 Male, 5 Female, 2 Futa).
• Take Ali as a companion during a night mission, complete with full sex scenes when losing/submitting in combat.
• 1 new powerful zombie type that is only active at night with combat sex scenes for both girls.
• 1 sex scene between Ali and a bestial companion of hers… ;)
• At least 2 more TBD sex scenes.
• Quests from Ali’s group of survivors.
• Train some of Tiffany's skills/stats.
• Learn to craft ammo from casings & gunpowder.
• The end of Day 3.

^Holly Hoare (Age 19 - College Freshman - Pizza Delivery Girl) is one of the new characters. This is a design for another project I worked on, but she will look basically like this. The other new girls will be new designs. I just really wanted to do something with this model that I never properly used for anything else :P

This is going to be a huge update with a whole heap of new characters. It's possible I may have to split this one up and introduce the characters in batches. You'll get to meet everyone and do a couple of quests for a few of them, before going out on your first night mission with Ali as a companion and encountering some cool new stuff + story :P 

The characters here aren't all set in stone by a long shot though, I'm still accepting suggestions for male characters in this discussion thread. I have plenty of ideas for female characters, though I might add some more when the time comes. I'm still not 100% how I want the dynamic of the group to be just yet so things may change. Also, there will still be some ACT 1 characters to be found or encountered later in the game so this certainly won't be the final roster. Especially when we consider this game has an second act planned... 

Not sure yet how long this one will take. I may decide to break it up into 2-3 smaller monthly updates if possible. 

v0.15 (Large Update)

Planned Content: 

• Morning of Day 4.
• First possible body growth (for 2nd [final] stage pregnancy or ‘Lactivate’ pill).
• Finally go back to the south side of town via a new outskirts area.
• New optional farm content (milking & beast).     
  • Possibly a new type of beast...
• A new sex scene available between Tiffany & George.
• New sex scenes for all the pharmacy girls (Hitomi, Vanessa, Debra).
• Re-rendered combat sex scenes with Tiffany’s new body types for the Zorse.
  

Tiffany will have to sleep at the group's safe zone that night because it's too dangerous for her to travel back to the south side of town. The route through the casino is blocked, so she'll need to take the long route around out in a new part of the outskirts of town, passing back through Jedidiah's farm for some more optional fun along the way. This should be fun to get back to all the current characters again after a long period of time only working on new ones. And yes, (assuming all the pharmacy girls in your game are free) they will all get new sex scenes...

But with who???  ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) 

At least 2 months to develop.

v0.16 (Large Update)

Planned Content: 

• Debra’s full combat sex scene & companion implementation.
• Debra’s side quest. (Investigate the Sheriff's Station & her house).     
  • 2 new interiors.
  • Unlock a new firearm.
  • Encounter a unique boss with a sex scene featuring Tiffany & Debra. 
• A sex scene with Debra & Big Barney. 
• Dr. Milburn’s quest to impregnate & imprison Debra.
• Perhaps something else just so that the all the other girls don't get too bored :P

^That's right, it's Debra's time to shine! 

I will probably do this from time to time when I fully add new girls as full companions. I liked the idea of a version that focused on one character and Debra made the most sense seeing as she's already immune and already partially implemented as a follower. Not to mention I've already planned out a lot of her content with Serrated already and it pretty much all  happened to line up with what I wanted to do around this time after getting back to the south side of town.

Each companion girl will get at least one unique side quest, to be completed while following Tiffany, that has a bunch of fun stuff in it. (The Vanessa and Hitomi house quests were not their side quests. I'm talking about proper side quests here.)

Will this version wrap up all of Debra's content? No, there's still plenty more to come, for all the girls, but especially the companion girls.

•  Lara (not necessarily to be added in this order.) 
• An unannounced member of Ali's group (not really confirmed then is it :P)

Who else becomes a companion girl will depend on who patrons want to see when I get there. Not every girl will get this much content, only the companion girls who Tiffany can take with her on her sexy escapades. ;) Although, every female character in the game is planned to have a full pregnancy cycle. 

At least 2 months to develop. 

v0.17 - V0.19 (Short-Medium Updates)

Planned Content: 

• Content to be voted on by patrons.
• End of Day 4
• First possible birth scene for Tiffany (Either Robert or Dr. Milburn's child)
• Perhaps a new craft-able outfit for Tiffany if time permits. 
• Start of Day 5

Yes, it might seem a little lazy, but this is something I've wanted to do do for a long time. At least 1-3 versions with content primarily voted on by patrons. I'll still be curating and in control of course. It will be similar to the first couple of versions where I gave patrons a large list of things to vote on and the top few got added. It will be similar to that. And these will take about 1 month of time to develop each. This will be my chance to take a break from all of the planned story content and see what people want to see the most and add it! (To the best of my ability and within the confounds of my world/story.)

And of course the first chance for Tiffany to finally give birth. Still not sure how I'll handle that just yet, but it should be coming around here...

Yet again, just keep in mind that this is an stupidly ambitious game and I'm planning for a lot of content spanning and many in-game 'weeks' and 2 'ACTS' (these plans cover up to around the afternoon of day 4). So if you don't see much of your favorite fetish, it's probably coming in spades, just a bit later down the track :) It's also entirely possible that I'm being sneaky and intentionally leaving out parts of my plans for these versions on purpose for spoiler reasons!!! >:D

Thanks for all the patience & support. Hopefully this help clears up what the current plans are from my perspective. I'll be doing more posts, polls, etc over the next week so keep an eye out for them. TJ comic pages and DNA Valkyrie chapters should be starting up at a regular weekly basis again, and I'll finally be talking more about surpassing the 2.5K goal and the rewards associated.
