^ A Nice image to go along with this wall of important text.

NOTE: I posted this info for $`10 patrons earlier today with their sneak peek image, so feel free to disregard this info, it's basically the same.

Alright, so the Good news is the new PC works perfectly. I'm currently averaging 6+ renders per day between the 2 of them. Now there's a lot more to TD than just renders, but it is a massive help nonetheless. Definitely a worthwhile investment.

Unfortunately, as I mentioned in the recent weekly update post, while there is definitely going to be a release on the 28th, it's not going to contain all of the features and polish I was hoping to put in. What will release before the end of the 28th, I'm going to call the 'v0.05 alpha'.  Then, a few days later I should have the full, feature complete v0.05 ready to post.

Why call it an alpha?

Well, it's no different to what I'd have in mind for future beta versions when I get around to them (which should now be possible due to the extra time saved with 2 PCs). I plan to start releasing those seriously starting from v0.06, alongside changing the release dates to be middle of the month to avoid this end of month pledge-rollover related problem. So the plan for v0.06 right now is an optional beta version for the Special Forces tier on the 10th of April. Then the full, polished released on the 15th for $5+ patrons, followed by the $1 release on the 29th.

But those beta versions will normally be exclusive to the Special Forces tier. Where as this "v0.05 alpha", will be releasing for $5+ patrons on the 28th as well. So that's why I didn't just want to call it a beta and confuse it with what should be the $10 bonus perk.

Why even bother releasing this alpha? Why not just delay the release a few more days?

Just to reiterate. Since I've asked you guys before, I know that the majority of you guys don't mind waiting until the versions are fully done, which I'm grateful for, as I don't like releasing unfinished or rushed work. However, I know there will be at least a few patrons who only pledged this month because I promised a release in "mid-late February" or "by the end of February". Assuming they were primarily pledging to get the latest version, it'd be a dick move on my part to delay the release a number of days and into March and they have to pledge again or cancel before getting the content they thought they'd be getting. Especially after doubling and tripling down on there being "something" released by the end of the 28th.

That's the main reason why I think pushing future releases to the middle of the month (around the 15th) is better from now on. That way, if there's a bit of a delay at the last minute, it's not such a big deal and it won't affect anyone's pledges.

So yes, my recommendation is that the majority of you wait a few more days until I've had a chance to fix bugs, add features and extra scenes in. This alpha release on the 28th is primarily intended to keep good on my promise, and release the main new content to those who were expecting it. But obviously everyone in the $5+ tiers are all welcome to play the alpha and provide feedback/report bugs if you want :)

What will be missing from the 'v0.05 alpha'?

Mostly polish, minor quests, some map areas, some gameplay(loot placement, balance, etc), some of the features like the non-slut mode, and probably the combat sex scenes (Zorse, and Double Dick zombie).

These will all be added in the full v0.05 release a few days later. I'll make sure that I polish that experience before releasing it.

This of course means that the 'v0.05 alpha' will still have the main 6 sex scenes in it. (1 with Jebadiah & Tiffany, up to 2 sex scenes during Debra's intro scene, and 3 smaller scenes with Jeb's 3 missing hrses). At least that's what I'm trying my best to focus on polishing for the alpha, ignoring anything that isn't necessary for this new content to work.

Anyway, I'm going to get back to work as there's still heaps to do. (If only February had 30-31 days!) But please leave any questions in the comments below and I'll respond when I can.

Thanks for your patience and support. I will post more info on the 28th, to let you know roughly how many hours away release of the alpha is. I will mostly likley be cutting a lot of corners in an attempt to make sure it goes up before the end of the day.
