June votes go here! Slight changes to voting! (Patreon)
Content
The slight changes:
1:Voting is now open a full week instead of the usual 5 days. Since Patreon's update where declined patrons can't see any posts I do marked as patron only, I'm going to leave up the voting for a week so that those who initially declined (and thus can't see this post), have a few days to get their pledges sorted out and then vote before it finishes. The number of initial declines is always pretty high to be honest, but it slowly goes down over time. I'm not sure why; Patreon sometimes just has issues with certain banks and payments, for no reason really. Usually it's the bank's fault. But it's rarely the patron's fault, and I don't want to have to post the voting publicly, because then anyone could comment, and it'd be very time consuming to have to cross-check non-patrons and remove them, even if they aren't doing it maliciously.
2:The safety net for strikes is 80, up from 50. As more people join and more votes introduced with the 25 tier, some of these numbers should scale up as well.
That being said, here's to casting your votes!
=================
How voting works:
I make a roster of characters to choose from for my primary artwork each month. Each level of pledge gets a different number of votes, and you guys pick what I end up doing! Rules are...
=================
Votes:
-The roster keeps it's vote count from month to month.
-1$ Patreons get one(1) vote to spend. 5$ get two(2), 10$ get three(3), 25$ get four.
-$5 and up Patrons: Your votes can be on one character, or split up between a few.
-You can vote after it ends, but it will be counted next month.
-Votes only count if your pledge processed that month. If your pledge is declined, I will put the votes "on hold", and add them later if the pledge goes through. Likewise, If the pledge doesn't go through, the votes aren't counted. I check all votes for number and pledge accuracy.
-If your pledge is worth more votes than you use, say a 10$ tier patron casting only 1 vote, I will automatically assign all 3 votes to that one vote. If they vote "1 for character A and 1 for character B", then I will pick myself either A or B to receive the unassigned 3rd available vote.
Add/Remove Character Rules:
-Fandom and Other OCs will be removed when won...
-...But FK OCs will go on a six(6)-month cooldown MINIMUM, after which they will be vote-able again. I'll pick when I want to throw them up there again.
Open slots:
- Open Slots can be filled by $5+ Patreons simply suggesting a new one when votes open. You have to spend at least one of your votes on this character when you suggest them on an Open Slot. If it doesn't go up, or goes on a wait list, you can put your vote to something else. I can turn down a character suggestion, but please don't take it personally! I will only do this when I -really- can't see myself enjoying the subject.
- If there is an open slot, and multiple people make a character suggestion, I will default to the patron with the highest lifetime Patreon support. The other suggestion will go on a waitlist.
-Open Slots under 'Artist's Choice' won't follow strikes or anything, and instead are added/removed as I deem desired or necessary. Could be other's OCs, fandom characters that haven't been suggested that I'd love to do... etc. A free-form nomination category. Can still be characters supporters suggest.
Strikes:
-If a character receives less than 3 people voting on them each month, they will get a strike. They won't lose votes, but they need at least 3 people voting.
-Three(3) strikes total removes them from the roster, but they can always be re-added later.
-80 votes will remove any strikes and prevent future ones.
