Here's what went down! Will be a few versions of the ARA one, regular nude, 'zombie', and overlay of the tech stuff. Was a pretty fun stream!

News:

I do only have about a week left to finish 3 comic pages, still have to post the other one for cameos but.. ugh. I'll be honest, no idea if I can pull it off, and I'm not sure I really have any idea I like this comic, how it's written/where it's going, but I hope you guys do. April's been a huge mess for a lot of little reasons that all piled up, and I don't like it, lol. Hopefully May will be better...we'll see, but if I really can't keep up with the workload I'll be upfront about it and let you guys know, work something out. I appreciate the support and comments, I'm trying very hard not to let you down, I'd prefer to keep to my word if possible, but.. man. I already said I'd do the Predators cover this month and I don't think I'm going to be able to, let alone the 3 comic pages. I'll do what I can. I'm not sure what took so much time this month. Probably went way too far on the pinup, days lost to taxes, to cons, to getting print books and merch together, visiting family...hrm. Ah well, we'll see how it goes, I'm always open to ideas and suggestions as usual.

I missed the stream, and to top it off I missed the one where you drew Rika ;w;. As always great images tho.

Personally, I don't care if you delay this mini comic to get a better sense of what you're doing with it. The stretch goal is a nice thought and a good idea of what you WANT to do, but if you burn yourself out or aren't enjoying working on it, then it's not worth it to me as your patron. Your best art is the stuff you enjoy creating, because I can feel the passion and enthusiasm in it. Don't stress yourself out just to meet a new goal that was dropped on you just this month. If it takes a month or two to get into the rhythm of adding an extra piece of primary art, that's fine by me. c:

Dude, take all the time you need. I've been following your artwork for nearly a year, since I found you, and it hasn't disappointed yet. I made a Patreon specifically so I could support you, so that you can make art that you're proud of, and if that means you have to slow down a little bit, by all means, take a month to draw a single image if it pleases you. I'll still be here, and I'll still be supporting you.

Take all the time you need. If the comic needs to be delayed or rewritten to meet your standard, do that!

HonkingSpider

I hope you get a chance to do the color on Ara. I loved the attention to detail on the "under the skin" response on your ask ARA blog.

No worries Fluff. As far as I'm concerned, drawing Ayncest gets you a pass this month. ^_^

Fluff you are such a wonderful artist and you should do as you need. I know we all love your art regardless of what pieces you produce. If you need time to slow down, take a breather I know we will all understand. You had an enormous workload this last month. Hope you're doing well and as always love this so much. Rika, Ara, and Lilith! So badly wish I could have caught this one, but you are just So awesome!

Fluff, please take it easy. Not all months are the same and any artist has production spikes and lows. It's normal. We do appreciate you try to have everything, but it's like saying you wanna output the same amount of things in July and February, when there's 10% less days. Besides, there's stuff that happens or needs to be done on the side that we'd understand that you need some time to resolve. And while we do like seeing more of your art, it's counter-productive if it gets you burnt out. As Volpe said, an artist feeling for their work makes really awesome pictures, people can literally feel the passion behind them. So please, you have our support, you can ask things from us the same way we ask things from you, from time to time. Take your mind away from things for a few days, and return with fresh ideas and clear objectives of what you want to do.

Don't sweat it man. Often times the work of a professional is an ebb and flow, and there will be months that are bumper crops and months that do not go as expected, something that I'm only learning to accept as come to the 10th year in my profession. It's all good man, just be sure to take care of yourself (both on the physical and mental level) and don't continuously burn the candle at both ends, I'd hate to see you reach a serious stage of burn out, particularly since it takes a long time to recover from that. Take care man, and look forward to future creations.

Sir, I didn't sign up for the $5 tier because of the quantity of content you put out. I did it because of the quality of content you put out. I would much rather see fewer, well done pieces of work than more work that didn't quite receive the love and care it needed. Don't worry too much about not being able to do everything you promised in a month; I'd rather see higher quality works than more of them, and if having to postpone things a bit means they'll come out better in the end, that's perfectly fine.

Really wish i could ave watched last night, but i got to say you did wonderful work as always Fluff. Love the Ara piece, she looks like a badass, yet still adorable.

Take your time, keep calm and don't panic :)

I may go back and colour that one up a little, even if its just flats n stuff

fluffkevlar

Yeah, art isn't a constant tap, it's just frustrating to me cause I like to keep my word, and so it chips away if I can't get it all done, cause i really do want to. Thank you though!

fluffkevlar

Yeah, i understand. It's not so much art burnout at the moment, it's just.. time seemed to disappear. Or I was just working much slower than I thought. My drive is still good, just need more accurate scheduling

fluffkevlar

Thanks, Ideally I'd like to balance quantity and quality, but I'm glad people say this

fluffkevlar

Thanks! I was unsure about that one when I started, but looking at it now I'm pretty happy with it too

fluffkevlar

I think so far (p1 and 2) it's okay, but when i started working on page 3 I wasn't feeling how it made her look. I think this comic is tough for me atm since it's a new character I've never written and a new style (narration/vignette) rather than normal real-time/panel-to-panel storytelling.

fluffkevlar

Thank you; I'm pretty grateful for all the comments like this, I just don't want to slide down some slippery slope where it looks like I'm slacking off or taking it for granted. I just like to be consistent and keep my word, that kinda thing. It may take me a short bit to get used to new and different comics, workflow and schedules, so, I appreciate it!

Hello, personally i'd rather you take your time than try to fulfill all your objectives and exhaust yourself. Take it easy, i am rather pleased with how things are doing currently and while i would certainly enjoy more art from you i wouldn't want it to be at the price of your well being or it becoming a chore. Don't push yourself too hard for our sake. You have the support of all your patrons.
