So this was a fun request from Evangellos. A 'Lore' category one that I feel I can do without spoilering stuff for future story:

In the Rishan Galaxy, Tau radiation emits from the galactic core's supermassive black hole. Neutrinos are subatomic particles that pass through matter uninhibited. Normally this is fine and causes no issue. In the galaxy, there are a few people however, born with a blood condition that 'captures' tau particles and over years, the buildup starts causing ailments. The reason and function behind this is still being researched. In the past, people would eventually die, and the reason unknown, but in the current era, implants and augmentations both can help a person disperse the radiation.

In more advanced scenarios, one -could-, if they wanted to, use and practice with implants to expell, move and manipulate the atoms around them to alter energy states, bonds, and so on. Why would someone want to, if it was largely unnecessary and difficult? In Vikna's case, it had been her dream to serve her country after what she had been through, and Katric does not normally permit those with this blood condition to enlist, unless they can prove mastery and elimination of it as a liability. During the course of her training to do this (above), she runs into a problem even fewer have- her ceiling with this is very high...

More about her and all that will be a big part of her angle of the story, whenever i get to it.. hopefully sooner rather than later, haha. I hope this part was kind of entertaining!

I love the movement! Did you change her hairstyle a bit?

TirustheVyrus

I like the idea of “powers” through technology and stuff

Antoine Davis

This is very interesting and cool, can't wait for more!

Conduitry

Very cool. Reading details like this makes me even more excited for when you're going to be able to get started on your sci-fi story!

Silvador

I looooove this! A. Because Vikna. B. Because I love lore. C. This lore is AWESOME! Vikna Tau Bender. :3

Someone grab a paper bag for....teaching aid, yeah.

Lupo Mikti

Always here for lore and worldbuilding! I have to admit though that as a linguist I'm most interested in if you have any language related lore to share in the future >w>

Cult of Dust

I am always happy to see more lore from your stories!

Evangellos

This came out excellent! I am blown away with the effort you put into it and am excited to see more (lore) creations for your story. This is very inspiring. Great job!

Roarschach

So she has an innate ability and she's now using technology to amplify that ability? That's pretty neat

Blobage

Love the details and the lore of this image! Also like how it feels dynamic with the motion of particles and hair being blown back <3

Volpethrope

It's literally her ice powers being tested :P

I have some nitpicks if I may. First, neutrinos themselves are not radioactive. They are a by product of a nuclear reactions. In this context, I presume you're referring to electron capture, where an innermost electron of the K shell interacts with a proton, creating a neutron and the neutrino. Further, using the term subatomic is redundant-- all neutrinos are categorically subatomic. Also work on such scale necessitates scanning tunneling electron microscopes--atomic nuclei are so small that not even light can render them. Particle waves are required in order to be resolved. Sorry for the nitpick, I just couldn't resist.

Lol, i knew this would always happen with anything scifi. There's also no such thing as blue anthro talking cats, but here we are. Most scifi doesn't explain stuff in detail using real physics.. because it's fiction. There is no realistic explainable method behind this stuff because it doesn't exist. At some point the deep diving will hit a wall where the creator is just making stuff up. I don't hold a degree in physics, i just did some minor research and settled on a solution that was believable "enough", because it's fun to have something semi relatable. I know you weren't trying to be abrasive but unless there's a huge gaping hole in logic that the average person would notice, i think it'll suffice. Plus, this isn't our galaxy, and if physics works differently here i just don't have the time to drive into all the super scientific reasons why. Big name scifi doesn't have to, so i dunno why i should. If there were an easier way I'm sure i'd take it, but alas i can't

Meh. I don't think this would be too impressive for a solider. Everyone knows Tau is useless in melee. /bad40kmeme :P

Chooper

Yes please! I have been waitng for some continuation of sci-fi story since you stopped making askARAstuff. I hope we can get some worldbuilding like this from time to time while we are waiting ;)

Roughlandin

Ooh. So, Vikna is like a... science mage? Tau radiation is like mana, and by releasing and directing it, she can alter matter and change energy states. So she could make a dagger, cast a fireball, or freeze water to make a bridge. Neat!

wow thats stunning :O

Sakura Wulf

Vikna with her hair up looks sexy.
