New vote system - outline and feedback! (Patreon)

After reading the old and recent posts about changes to the pinup/main pic vote system, I think I've found something that combines what I want to do with input and interaction with you all.

I should first say that this is not final; The only way I'll get to know if this works out is to try it. The goal is to make stuff simpler both for casting votes, and for me; to diversify monthly project goals, avoid pinup burnout, and grow my comics/world at a better pace.

New System:

This will be a relatively simple 2-vote system.  Instead of counting and tallying up votes by hand via comments every month, I'll be using Patreon's vote system, and instead of lasting 5-7 days for the one vote, each vote will be 3 days.

The first vote will be choosing a category. 

These are some examples below of what I've come up with. Some may be combined over time, or new ones added/removed, but some categories would be:

• Additional comic page
• OC world/character piece (sfw, like Nytro on the street of Kan Rein City, Ayn in her palace overlooking her city, Radoslav on the bridge of his flagship, etc)
• OC NSFW feature (similar to current pinups, but focused on porn, less alt-based, like the Rehzi x Ayn pinup)
• New fanart pinup (sfw/nsfw, sam as above but fanart roster)
• "Reworked" pinups (take 1 or more previous pinups that may have some errors, a weird face, or additional alt potential and go back and edit/clean up/add to them)
• Dakimakura
• Ref sheets (likely 2-3 per month)
• Sketch vignette/comic (ex. Predators 1.1)
• Spruce up sketch (take an old sketch that has potential, request or otherwise, and revisit it, fix/clean up, and ink/colour, ex. Twix' request from July '19, Nytro request from June '17)

Not all of these categories will be up on the vote every single month. Only 3 or 4; I'll swap them out based on a few things, like my mood, past month's wins, etc. Think of this as a pool that can grow with new ideas without affecting the balance on number of categories.

The second vote will be picking specifics

After the winner is picked, I'll make a 'results' post here where you all can submit ideas/suggestions to be used in the second vote. Not all categories warrant a second vote, however. Based on the winning category, the options would vary.  Examples include:

• Additional comic page (might not be a second vote if this option wins the first vote.)
• OC world/character piece (vote on the character roster)
• OC NSFW feature (character/act/pair)
• New fanart pinup (character roster)
• "Reworked" pinup (vote on which previous pinups)
• Dakimakura (might not be a vote here either. probably only a vote on which daki would be next, if anything.)
• ref sheets (probably votes on which refs to do that month)
• Sketch vignette/comic (vote on ideas)
• Spruce up sketch (vote on which sketches)

Changes to existing items:

So with the new system as it stands, a few rewards and things either get cut or lose value. 

Vote rollover probably gets cut; trying to keep track of rollover votes for every category is a big 'No', but rollover for just the OC NSFW and fanart pinups could still be fine, I would just take the number of votes from the poll and cumulatively add them each month, it just wouldn't be weighted by tier, like it is now with number of votes per pledge level. Even then, the pinups won't always be an option up for vote, so either way, it gets diminished.

As much as I'd like to replace it with something for the value lost, I think with this system it would be just a large hassle, but I am open to suggestions. If you think it's not a big deal and can do without it, that's also good to hear, I just want to make sure.

$25 Tier

This tier, I've felt, has been lacking in value. I don't get cameo chances often, new merch doesn't come as quickly, and especially with the rollover removed or diminished, I think it's even further affected. I would like to add something else for this tier. Ideas include:

Additional bi-monthly stream for $25 tier only; smaller crowd, working on various things.

Art feedback- submitting either some art you've done or had done by others, (with their permission) for redline/fixes and adjustments, where I can try to help and explain in a semi-guided type fashion.

Additional voted image- Though I'd likely keep it to request-sketch quality or similar, having the tier pick their own picture might be kind of fun. The image and files would still be available to the other tiers as normal, but the vote/content would be $25 only.

Again, if there are other ideas or feedback I'd like to hear it, nothing on here is 100% set-in-stone yet, because I want to make sure folks are supportive of the changes first.

In summary: I don't want to do pinups all the time and tally tons of votes by hand every month, so making a category voting system where the monthly image changes to different ideas, and making up for some losses in the $25 tier with a bonus item of some kind.
