January Pinup - Ahnassi HD (Patreon)

Here's the results of January's vote! Ahnassi, a friendly khajiit from Morrowind.

Sometimes I try to do something new style-wise with a lot of pinups. This result was actually a lot of fun, despite taking way too long, as is the norm it seems. Inspiration from a few different artists like Snowskau. I also opted for an outdoor scene as Morrowind is pretty well-known for its weird landscape, and khajiit fit well out in the wild. I also like to paint landscape stuff, of course. Her design is a mix of my past drawings of her, fan arts, the TES:3 video game, and her one card in Elder Scrolls: Legends.

I didn't go overboard with the alternate portions--robes, necklace, sweat, cum, top and bottom garments are options, and I've saved out more of the usual combinations. Thank you for the pledge to my work!

Snowskau is great, and I definitely feel that touch of his coloring style here. I think you did a good job with her, as the pose and context invoke that feeling of sharing a friendly gift that I think you were going for. This feels like a sequel to the couple stream sketches you've done of her. One area of critique I've actually meant to bring up, though, is your sweat detail. You've improved a lot of little individual things over the years and the quality shows in big works like your pinups where all those skills and techniques converge, but I feel like the sweat is starting to lag behind a bit. Real sweat shows as a wet sheen across large sections of someone's body, not clumped up in individual massive droplets loosely scattered over them. I do still get the appropriate feeling of work and effort from your pics that include it, not denying that, but I just feel like that's an area you could look to improve, especially with how physically and anatomically realistic your style usually is. The big droplets are starting to look a little cartoony compared to the rest of your detail work is all I'm saying. :)

I kind of agree, but i kind of disagree too. Wet sheen im not sure would look nice on something that's supposed to be furry. In fact i don't think fur would sweat period. But since we do, and associate it with stuff, it feels like it's still useful or necessary at times. I dunno what to say..i can see both sides of the arguments here, but i dislike some arts that treat the fur like skin and have that smooth sheen all over. Just rarely ever seems like fur afterwards

Yeah I know what you mean. There are some that make it look *too* shiny and the character ends up looking like they're made out of latex. I think it's worth at least thinking about and tinkering with to see if there's a better way to convey it than big droplets. But don't get me wrong - I'm not really bothered by how you currently do it or anything, I'm just curious if there's a better method.

I definitely would keep erring on the side of making fur look, well, furry. Too many other artists make it look like smooth plastic or vinyl or something.

Oh for sure. I don't mean to smooth the character out at the same time, but to spread out the implication of a wet sheen, so it looks more like the sweat is being produced everywhere instead of gathered up in big clumps.
