Hello Patrons! We have a new release!

Version 0.2.0 introduces the option to invert the captured image colors. This option can improve recognition accuracy in some circumstances, especially when the text is on a dark background.

Let's see an example.

Without color inversion, the recognized text is completely nonsense.

With color inversion, the result is much better.

This new option is available in the settings menu. We recommend enabling it whenever you are working with light text on a dark background.

Thank you for your support, and please let us know if you have any feedback on issues or suggestions for improvements.

yeah PrtScn just opens the snipping tool for me. i can confirm that auto ocr on printscreen is checked. alt+s shows the loading cursor but ultimately does nothing. i have yomininja set to use my browser window which is displaying a jpeg of a japanese sentence. i've tried setting it to a display instead of a window but its the same issue. i'm running a multi-monitor setup. i don't know if that could be why.

apparently with recent versions of windows 11 print screen being linked to the snipping tool is enabled by default. i disabled it and now when it press it it does the same thing as when i press alt + s where it shows the thinking/loading cursor for a second but nothing ultimately happens

YomiNinja

Let's do some debugging. Please make sure Yomi Ninja is not running. 1. In a folder of your choice, create a text file. 2. Paste this text: %localappdata%\Programs\yomininja-e\YomiNinja.exe 3. Rename the file to "run-yomininja-debug.bat" 4. Double-click the "run-yomininja-debug.bat" file. You'll see a CMD window. 5. Wait for the CMD window text content to stop changing. 6. Press Alt+S or PrintScreen. Let me know if the text in the CMD window changes as you press those keys. This will help us diagnose the issue further.
