Chapter 7 Edited Pages (Patreon)

Hi friends!

One of the things I talked about in the comic update post this month was posting some edited pages for Chapter 7. Well, here they are!

So a little background about these:

When Daryl and I finished Chapter 7, I felt like I had messed something in the story up and couldn't figure out what it was for the longest time. After going back through my outlines and scripts (and many hours of storyboarding) I finally figured out that the original narrative for these 5 pages felt...forced? It felt like I was trying to find a place to insert a confrontation/introduction with the Tower of Merlin, but it wasn't organic or natural. I felt like I was trying to strong arm the story by pushing it along instead of letting it unfold like I had with Volume 1. Thus, I knew something had to change in this section.

I decided to remove the "magic driver's license/tower of merlin registry thing" because it really took away all the development we had for Norman in chapter 5. And I hated that. So, I added a space to try and build some tension with a smol tarot reading :3 I love tarot and it felt like it came to me naturally again, so I hope this reads better for y'all.

Let me know what you think about these changes! I would love to hear your feedback. With transparency, I want you to feel like you can be honest with me about your critiques. I'm also in a space currently where constructive criticism is much needed. So feel free to share your thoughts openly! I will add a small request for feedback: please be gentle with me.
