Comic Update 032 - 3/11/2022 (Patreon)
Content
Hey friends! 🙈
Sorry for the lack of updates for the past couple months. I've been struggling with my anxiety and depression, and the battle left me pretty drained of comic-related creativity during January and February.
BUT I'M BACK! And I feel confident today so I wanted to post an update on what I've been up to the past couple months.
Here's your comic update for January-March 2022:
1) Almost done with Kickstarter #1 fulfillment!!!
Jesus it's been a rough couple months. I've sent out over 450 books AND merchandise for the grand total of 600+ order fulfillments. Still working on the digital rewards for this tier, but BEST BELIEVE I'm putting this shit on my resume lol.
I'll keep y'all posted on this as well as plans for Kickstarter #2 💗 I'll probably make an update focused on this next month.
2) CHAPTER 7 UPDATE: CURRENTLY IN PRODUCTION
WOO WE'RE FINALLY ON CHAPTER 7!!! 😍🌈✨
The projected timeline for completion is mid-April 2022. My guess is after edits I should have it ready for posting by the beginning of May. Can't wait to show you the first chapter of the 2nd book!

DRAG ME TO HELL DADDY 🤪🔥
3) PITCHING and COMIC CONS!
I'm currently trying to pitch this series to a publishing agent! If I got a publisher or some kind of book deal, my hope is that it would really help me out cost-wise. Books are hella expensive to print. Also, my next dream goal is to have my book on the shelves at like a Barnes & Noble or some other Queer book store 🌈
Kind of a random plug question, would you happen to know of any Queer/LGBTQ-ally publishing agents I should pitch this story to? I'm doing my own research on this but I always love asking around for LGBTQ community-recommended connections.
Lol networking is hard for me 😆 I'm awkward and shy like Norman, what can I say.
I'm also applying for comic cons! I had a spot in 2020 for FlameCon in NYC but I cancelled because they postponed the event for literally 2 years and I needed my money back for other things. Here's hoping I get into some! Depending on what comes back positively, I'll post a touring schedule for y'all on the conventions I will be attending. My plan is to bring Books, Shirts, and other BKI merch to sell at a booth/table 🤩📚
That's it for this comic update y'all!
Also,
You are loved. You are enough. 🌈❤️ Sometimes I say this because part of me needs to hear it myself. But I want you to know the good vibes I send to you are from the bottom of my heart. Thanks again for reading and supporting my work.
