So, I wanted to show you guys how I go about making artwork! I'll show it in two parts--part one being how I draw something b y hand, and part 2 will be how I turn that drawing into a digitally-coloured fetish artwork! For the drawing example, let's look at the Anna/Rebecca butt-pluggin' drawing from a couple months ago:

First, I start off with a really general sketch, drawn lightly. I take a 'gesture drawing' approach to this, as opposed to the old 'geometric' approach that's all cylinders and rectangles that you often see in how-to-draw books, haha. I usually make several passes with a pencil until I get the lines that I want, making mental corrections to anatomy as I go. Usually I wait until the figures are complete before adding facial expressions but in this case I dew Rebecca's face right away! The way I've drawn Anna is normally how my initial gestural figures look like. At this stage I wasn't sure how I wanted Rebecca's arms to be posed, which is why she looks like an amputee :P

By the way, to keep limbs even and proportions roughly correct, I measure using my fingers. So, I find out how long I've drawn Rebecca's torso from butt to shoulder. Say that it's the same length as four of my fingers. I then take those four fingers and use them to determine waist-to-knee length, and then again for knee-to-foot, since all 3 of those points are roughly the same length on people, especially in cartoons/anime.

Once I get the gestural figures how I want them and make corrections, I add faces, hair, and clothes. I also know I wanted a side-panel and a speech bubble, so I drew those in roughly to make sure I spaced them nicely. I used a ruler for the line where the wall meets the floor. You can see adjustment lines where I fixed anatomical inaccuracies. Like I adjusted the elbow of Anna's arm that's holding the plug, and adjusted the thickmess of Rebecca's torso.

More corrections are made to the anatomy of our girls, and I've locked down arm and hand positions. The background is added, and I slightly altered the speech-bubble's position so we can see the array of kinky items on the bedside table. I also changed Anna's expression so that now, both girls are looking at the plugging in process :P

As you can see I got pretty crazy with the adjustment lines, so much so that the area where Rebecca's arms meet with Anna's looks like a Cy Twombly drawing! Anna's other arm changed position too. That's because they were too long and I couldn't decide on how to position them. At this stage I haven't used an eraser--I imply which lines to follow for inking by making them darker/thicker than the 'incorrect' lines. That's why it's good to draw lightly in the early stages.

Dialogue and some extra details are added. I thought it might be cute to add 'Peachy Keen' to Rebecca's butt flap, but then changed my mind when I inked, haha. I also tried adding a handle onto the dresser, but thought it looked better without handles. For Anna's dialogue, you can see I crossed out some words. I was gonna write "Don't fight it," but thought that came across a bit too hostile for this particular drawing so I changed it to "Let it in." Also at this point I wasn't sure it I wanted Rebecca gritting her teeth or with her lips pressed together. Time for inking!

Inked! At this point I have to lock in my choices, so I again adjusted Rebecca's mouth and decided to keep the peach but not the text on her bottom. After applying ink with illustration pens, I erase all the pencil out, leaving just the ink. As you can see, some lines extend their boundaries, like along Anna's speech bubble, or the top left line of the side-panel. It will be easy to fix in the line art stage :)

I used a ruler to guide me for the straight lines. At this point all line thickness is uniform: I used different sized pens but didn't make any bold, beveled lines with them. I do that after I erase the pencil away.

This is what it looks like after I go back in with pen to adjust thickness of the lines! This attention to line-weight is something my drawings were missing for years. If you look at my stuff from just when I started digitally colouring, you'll notice my ink lines are jittery and thin. But by paying more attention to line weight, I can emphasize form, thickness, and better show which objects are in front of others. It makes hair look more voluminous, makes fabric look better, and helps guide the eye. Oh! And I also decided Rebecca's pyjamas weren't cute enough for her so I added a heart pattern, even though this would make colouring more tedious! XD

When it's finished inking, I photograph it in sunlight for even lighting, and import the image into a free art program called Artweaver. Here, I convert the JPEG into a Photoshop document so the quality doesn't degrade as I make adjustments. Then I select Document>Adjustments>Threshold. Threshold is a tool found in most digital art programs. It's the basic, noob way of creating line art since it does the whole thing for you and all the lines are pixelated when viewed at 100% size, but it saves a whole lot of time. Plus, my images are big enough that you can't see the pixellation when viewed at a reasonable size. I also added a drop-shadow to the side panel using a shape tool, and used a white brush tool to correct those lines that went astray during inking. Now, I have the colouring-book-esque image that is ready to be coloured!

Next month I'll show you how I colour my work :)

Hope you enjoyed me showing you how I do my kinky drawings!

I can't see any of the pictures, can anyone else?

Oh no! They're loading for me. Are you on mobile? I'll try and figure this out

I'll have to try it on desktop later, but yes to the being on mobile.
