Another Setback, lol (Patreon)

Hello guys,

Welp, I got in trouble yet again (though thankfully I haven't been suspended this time)! This time it was for trying to introduce the custom sketch idea to my reward tier. After Patreon told me that I wasn't allowed to do this, and a bit of back and forth, this is the takeaway message that they sent me:

" Hello there,

Thank you for your response. Everybody loves the thrill of winning something, that is just part of our nature. In the past, we used to allow raffles but we have recently decided to take a stronger stance against reward tiers and goals that involve any kinds of giveaway.

We decided that this approach was the best moving forward if we want to comply with gambling regulations. We understand that your own state or country might have different legislation, but as a global company we want to make sure that creators can safely offer similar rewards to all of their patrons without being at risk of breaking the law.

...raffles are not allowed on Patreon."


I was really excited to implement this reward. It would help to make my work more reflective of what my Patrons specifically wanted to see and I figured that over time, most of my Patrons would have had a chance to get their ideas drawn by me. Also, thanks to BondageGirrrl for the idea, it really was a cool one! I do plan on finding another way to improve my tiers and incentivize people to stick around longer, I'm just not sure how for the moment. But I'll be thinking about it! And again, any feedback or suggestions would be appreciated!

I really do get where they are coming from. It's a sad case of some assholes ruining this for everyone else and I really liked this idea too. As a suggestion maybe you could offer timed sketches based on a certain amount of months at a specific reward tier. Say 1 every 3 months at $10 1 every 6 at the $5 and 1 a year at the $2 level (plucking frequencies out of the air, obviously a lot depends on how many Patreons you have at each level). It would also be a good incentive to stick around and not let those accumulated months go to waste!

You could let people from one higher tier suggest characters and/or situations and after a set period of time all patrons get a poll with the suggested charecters/situations. This way you can still draw stuff some patrons would like to see drawn, but without the "gambling" factor. Only downside is some people might get frustrated because their ideas doesn't get voted for. For example: 10$ patrons can suggest a character AND a situation. 5$ patrons can suggest a character OR a situation. Every patron gets a vote (or you grant votes depending on the tier, but that's very 'pay-to-win'-ny) and after the poll is closed you select the character and the situation with the most votes.

Hm, that mayyyyy work. I'll have to give it some thought because it kind of allows for me getting buried with work some months and not on others, lol. This is kind of a besides, but some time in November I'll be asking people to tell me what fetishes/kinks they'd like to see me draw, and then in December I'll be doing a poll of those kinks/fetishes to see which one gets a drawing! So stay tuned for that! XP

This might be an option! It'll take some thinking on my end! It might improve the polls and help me set up new polls for each month. I could do the 'suggest a character/scenario' at the start of one month, and then do the poll at the start of another, in addition to the regular polls I do monthly. It may be a bit convoluted, but we'll see! Thanks for your feedback! :)
