Hey folks this is a PSA that there is a huge hack happening on the Solana network impacting the following wallets so far:
- Phantom, Slope, Glow, xDEFI (other wallets could be impacted)

This seems to be compromised seed phrases happening during their wallet creation process that interacts with a smart contract that can drain all SOL, SPL tokens and NFTs from wallets.

Right now there's no root cause confirmed, just suspicion and speculation. Only thing that can stop it is moving to a hardware wallet ASAP or possibly the better option, exchanging out of the Solana chain to other assets. (not financial advice, but good for eliminating risk).

I personally already know of several people that have been impacted in the last hour and had all funds and NFT's drained.

Oh no. Thanks for the heads up

Hardware wallet should be as safe as exchanging out of Solana chain or not? Thanks for the info 🙏

In Exodus I cannot access the Solano staking portion of the wallet. Anyone know if this is part of the hack?

SOL has always been trash. How many times has the network gone down and wallets had issues already?

Not a part of the hack - note that it takes a couple of days to unstake from Solana in general (relies on the blocktime of the chain to process the unstaking request). If you aren't seeing the section in the wallet (I do) I'd recommend reaching out to their support who are very helpful and generally respond in less than 10 minutes.

geoff-->SOL gives the impression of when an issue comes, they look to fix it. Some projects want the polished project first before releasing. Not a bad thing :)

It was not a SOL hack. The chain is fine. It was a problem with the slope wallet that people had connected to their phantom wallet. It’s these problems with bridges….security is still an issue.
