So I was on the elliptical today and this occurred to me. We all are thinking about how this transition is going to manifest itself. So is it going to be a great dollar crash? A great crypto run? What about this scenario?

The US Dollar remains strong while cryptos go on a massive bull run. Will we have the two systems running parallel? Could they be waiting till everyone starts cashing back into fiat after the first big run. THEN, they see a huge shift back into cash. Would this be an opportune time for them to give everyone a 50 -70% haircut?

Think about it. Everyone is drunk on cryptos, cashes out and then the flush the bowl. :O

My point, have a strategy on how to execute your trades and make sure you identify what it is you want out of your investments.

We've got lots more great content coming, as always, thank you for your support.

Ok look Ed your scenario is highly unlikely to EVER happen. If they spent all these time luring you into crypto for the sake of cashless society, and then pull the rug right under you, that would be counterproductive. We would be scared of crypto FOREVER

Good point! Also, as you've pointed out earlier, this is not a thing here for day traders but for holders instead who have a long-term strategy in mind.

Thats really a good though although I have been hodling with price points in mind the greed still get to me at times it did in 2017 didnt cash out when I could have and didnt follow the plan since I thought it would go higher. Although traded most of my LTC for Gold around Feb 2018 still missed a nice opportunity at the peak only if I had followed the trade plan. Though way to learn. Just one question though is should I leave out 10% of the coins and tokens if and when I cash out?

Hopefully you’re not telling us the future of crypto. It would suck if crypto turned out to be like the Final season of Game of Throne. Over 8 years of build up for a disastrous ending

Anonymous

Interesting. BitPay and CryptoCards allow direct trade. No fiat exchanged.

I do not like Trezor or any wallet that relies on ‘Google addons’ to access it. I am very interested in hard wallet alternatives that do not rely on

The Bitfi wallet is being given high marks for ease of use lately.

Does the Trezor rely on a Google add-on? I have one. Don’t use any Google stuff to use it.

Excellent to see someone else besides myself is asking these questions. When Bitcoin first came out I immediately thought "There is NO way the the banking cartel is going to allow the people to control their own money." I still think that BUT now I understand that the old system is being replaced by design. A few of us may slip through the cracks and make money with Cryptos but they will do everything possible to make the masses buy and sell at exactly the wrong time, just like all the other traditional markets. Hang on its going to be a wild ride.

The rest of the world will adopt and then the US will.

Correct, US will be last to the party. The US Dollar is the strongest currency in the world until it is decided it isn't. By then there'll be a nice swap out. Everyone will be drunk on selling cryptos for fiat. Then they pull the rug out and devalue the fiat. Don't get caught selling everything. Keep at least 30 - 50% for long term.

No shit Mike. All the battles end poorly in two lack-luster episodes. Fucking writers. They all suck.

cryptoviewing

No Mike you see when they pull the plug, you'll have no choice but to get back in. There will be no viable options but digital assets. My point is don't sell everything. Be sure to keep some stored for long long term.

George,

I think there will be a stock market correction soon( maybe by next week) and take the cryptos with it, as for holding on 30 -40 %, definitely. As for the US coming down on cryptos, well they got the 7000 BTC (supposedly hack of bianace ) and then give USDT the do ahead to continue , what a joke. It is obvious the SEC IS INVOLVED. They need BTC to bribe political moves as other nations do to circumvent sanctions

The transition (reset) started March 2017. My gold bug friends are still waiting for the starting pistol to fire. Fiat currency does not matter to me. My job pays the bills. My labour is priced accordingly in this system....worth less and less everyday soon to be worthless ;)

Anonymous

You need a strategy to cash out. Do not keep the FIAT that you cash out, get gold, silver or some real estate immediately so that when the reset happens your are not holding the worthless FIAT bag. And yes, keep around 50% of crypto.

Great thoughts. My bitcoin I'll probably keep forever. I've already taken out my retirement to buy them. So keep for retirement or keep it in my will. Bitcoin will only increase in value.

Does anyone know were the list of cryptos that the lads felt positive about was posted a week ago ?

Definitely a valid consideration. For the next 1-2 years Wall St. seems very bullish on the $. Another method that I have used is to cash out into precious metals. There is one company in Switzerland that I can recommend (Vaultoro); they didn't have the biggest volume, but are growing, fully insured and regulated. One can do KYC online and basically move BTC to gold and back to BTC. Another option is the one John Singleton had in Singapore. Singapore has one of the strongest regulations and is one of the safest countries in the world to store PMs in vaults. A very cool thing is that they also offer you to store USD or SGD in your account there - so while you can only withdraw fiat from there to an account in your name, it would be a good option to go from crypto (BTC, ETH, BCH, LTC) into cash AND precious metals all in one institution. Of course there are some fees involved but they might be worth it considering the risk one takes with holding fiat. Another issue to ponder might be to observe the €. Most likely it will go down significantly BEFORE the USD.

Most of the time they make us think we chose something, not them. So cryptos have to appeal to our sense of investment, greed, good, freedom, etc. Right now, most people don't know squat about cryptos and they won't until they get BIG again and people see they're THE way to go, they're safe and seen as investment assets. Then, use case won't happen until you can buy a piece of gum without paying capital gains on it. So money status for some cryptos has to happen before use does. I think we see big gains and use case before they try to screw us over. Then they could throw in some fear porn :) Just thinking out loud..... it will be super interesting. Thanks for your thoughts!
