First, I would like to say that this weapon that I love the most so far. The mechanic is inspired by Circle of Mutation Druid created by Ghostfire Gaming in their Grim Hollow book, and I would love to use this type of 'point buy' mechanic again for items or perhaps class/subclass in the future~

Second, after this one (or perhaps one other sword if I manage to finish it) I'll have to take a break this weekend due to some family event. I'll be back with Day 11 (or 12) prompt next monday~

Prideful Perfectionist

Weapon (Greatsword), Legendary (requires attunement and proficiency in Painter’s Supplies)
Found in a mysterious workshop located at the top of Whitespine Mountain near The Rhentos Peak, this ‘weapon’ later named ‘The Prideful Perfectionist’ has baffled many experts. The place where it was found is quite mysterious. It is a large workshop built inside a rock cliff and carefully constructed seemingly by one person. Inside, they found hundreds of burned paintings, dozens of empty painting frames on the wall, and in the center of the room, right beside this weapon, a single portrait of a young woman with shoulder-length black hair, brown skin, and striking black eyes wearing a simple white and pink dress. So far, no one has found any information regarding the owner of the workshop and weapon, the woman's identity, and so many other unanswered questions. Some experts said they detected a soul's presence imbued within the weapon. Judging from the nature of its ability, they suspected that one might be able to awaken that soul and the weapon’s full potential by painting an artwork that can inspire the soul that lays dormant inside.

If you’re proficient in Painter’s Supplies, you’re considered proficient with this weapon. To attune to this weapon, you have to make a painting on the surface of the blade. If you fail to do so, you become unattuned to this weapon. Prideful Perfectionist count as a non-magical weapon with no ability until you successfully make a painting on it.
Painter’s Pride. When you attempt to attune to this weapon, every day at dawn, you can try to paint a picture on the blade's surface. Before you start painting, you have to decide the level of difficulty you want to tackle. Each level of DC will grant you a number of points you can spend to add a special ability and effect to the sword. You can choose DC 12 (2 point), DC 15 (4 point), DC 17 (6 point), DC 21 (8 point), DC 25 (12 point).
You make a Wisdom, Dexterity, or Charisma check plus your proficiency bonus. If you successfully roll equal to or higher than the DC you choose, you get a number of points according to the chosen DC regardless of your total roll (if you choose DC 12 but roll a 15, you only get 2 points). If you fail to pass the DC you choose, you don’t get any points regardless of your total roll (if you choose DC 21 but only roll a 17, you don’t get any points).
You can spend those points to get the abilities from the list. The painting will disappear at dawn along with the abilities and points that aren’t spent.
Perfect Projection. You can cast Hallucionary Terrain, projecting your painting to your surrounding. When you cast it this way, you can cast it as an action, but the duration is reduced to only 1 hour. You and any number of creatures that you choose when you cast this spell can choose to see through the illusion as a transparent image. The DC for this spell is the DC you choose when making the painting, or 10 if you fail to pass the DC. Once you use this ability, you can’t use it again until you create a new painting.
—-------------------------------------------------------------

You can cast this spell this way twice per short rest. For an additional 2 points, you gain the ability to make an attack when a creature is attacking your duplicate.

This is the sword that made me seek out your work, and this is, by a large margin, one of the most creative Sword designs. A literal work of art, a masterpiece, an beautiful composition with a hilt for swinging. In your art I love the lighter colored line work transitions into the bold black lines of your detailed style to sell that the painting is coming to life. From a mechanical point of view, I like that you can build your preferred blade like the enlightened Edge you made later, but that it's a painter's supply check for three stats, making it more accessible to more classes. I imagine some players would describe each piece they make each day. Very flavorful design.

thank you :D :D In a way, this sword is my self insert concept XD I allowed the user to use those three since I think each person can express their art differently. It could be a deep and meaningful one (Wis), a realistic, precise, and detailed one (Dex), or perhaps an expressive and emotional one (Cha). Yeah, I'm hoping that the player can describe different paintings and perhaps tie the painting to their current situation and emotional state~
