When exposed to direct sunlight, the scales of the cloak heat up, enhancing the wearer’s defenses and retaliating against adversaries with bursts of searing fire. Exclusively crafted by the sanctified artisans of the Trias Celestia and the Sun Dome, the Morning Mantle is fashioned as a tribute to a Gilded-Scale Bear that has passed away naturally or in sacred service. This ceremonial creation honors the bear’s spirit and celebrates its lifelong dedication to protecting the sacred mountain and its devout followers.

While wearing this cloak, you gain a +1 bonus to AC, and you have resistance to fire damage. However, your movement speed is reduced by 5 feet due to the weight of the cloak.

Sunlit Curtain. When exposed to direct sunlight, the cloak's scales heat up to an extreme temperature, increasing its defensive capabilities. While under sunlight, the bonus to AC increases to +2. Additionally, any creature that hits you with a melee attack while you are in sunlight takes fire damage equal to 1d6 plus your proficiency bonus from sparks created by the heated scales, feeling as though they are striking molten metal.
