Treetop Jones

Vader: The man in the costume that actually played Darth Vader throughout three Star Wars films was David Prowse. Prowse, as a former bodybuilder, was cast because of his impressive body, making Darth Vader look threatening in the costume. The voice was done by actor James Earl Jones, who made his film debut in Stanley Kubrick's "Dr. Strangelove" (1964). Actor Sebastian Shaw played the face reveal scene for his death. David Prowse was disappointed, thinking it would be him. This was the end of the SW story at the time - there was talk of "sometime in the future" Lucas would do more with it, but it wasn't until 1999 when a new one came out.
