During the summer vacation, Emilia returned to the port town of her mother's hometown. For her, accustomed to the hustle and bustle of the city, everything here felt like an adventure.

There was a rocky shore near the town, and observing the creatures living in those rocks was a delightful experience for her. Emilia, venturing further away, unknowingly found herself several kilometers away from where she started.

"Wow, I've come quite far. It's about time to head back,"

she said, checking her phone's GPS. As she began to turn around, she felt a slippery sensation at her feet.

"Oops! Whoa, it's a octopus! How rare!"

Excitedly playing with the octopus, its tentacles began to wrap around her.

"Haha, maybe it likes me?"

she chuckled. However, gradually, the tentacles crept into her clothing.

"Wait a minute, stop!"

she exclaimed, but the discomfort from those tentacles and suckers turned into a peculiar sensation, as if penetrating into her body. Involuntarily, her body seemed to be moving on its own.

"What...! This...! Mmm..."

she struggled to articulate the sensation.

As the tentacles gradually enveloped Emilia from her feet, her body turned transparent, and along with a novel sensation, a new perception emerged. She could see tentacles originating from her, freely moving, and the texture of the rocks communicated through these appendages.

Influenced by the information transmitted through the tentacles, she felt as if she were becoming a part of the sea. Having completely transformed into the form of an octopus, she couldn't help but feel the distance growing between her present self and the person she used to be.
