Aoi, a high school student, returned home, seeking refuge from a distressing day at school. With each step down the hallway, the weight on her heart seemed to deepen. Quietly, she stepped into the entrance.

"I'm home," she said.

Greeted by her mother, Aoi forced a smile, though the pain within her remained unhealed. Seated in her room, she called out to Jack, her beloved Border Collie. His white and black fur stood out in the bright room as he wagged his tail, rushing to her side. Aoi stroked Jack's fur, finding a fleeting comfort in his warmth.

After a while, she began to speak to Jack.

"Hey, Jack. Something terrible happened at school. But having you here makes me really happy."

Jack responded by nuzzling against her, gently pressing his face to hers. In that moment, a peculiar sensation enveloped Aoi's body.

"What's happening...?" she wondered.

She felt lighter, as if fur was growing on her skin. Her vision lowered, and she found herself on all fours. Astonished and joyful, she looked at her paws. Aoi had transformed into Jack.

As a four-legged Jack, no words were spoken, but he wagged his tail, radiating happiness. Aoi, convinced she was in a dream, decided to embrace the joy of spending time with Jack in this surreal world.

She ran through the yard, played with a ball, and deepened her bond with Jack. In the dream filled with joy, Aoi gradually forgot the unpleasant events at school.

Upon waking, she found herself back in her human form. However, the warmth and happiness from the dream lingered in her heart, and the painful experiences from school seemed to fade away little by little.
