To answer your question on how to one reach the point of breaking, I can continue with the bottle-metaphor: When your bottle is constantly full and all bubbly inside, that sends waves against the glass from the inside. If now something from the outside pushes against the glass that also sends waves against the glass and tepending on how thicc the glass is those waves can go all the way through the glass and glass doesn't like vibrations. So when you send enough vibrations from different sides or one very strong vibration through that bottle-wall it will shatter. I don't think you're emotionless, I think you just taught yourself to suppress them too good.

It snaps when it needs to snap. Mine snapped when I did not attend four college exams and scored Fs on all 4. It got sorted out through something called "special consideration"; it turned into ICs/incomplete-s which means I didn't get zeros for my transcript, but I'd still have to retake the 4 classes (or replace them). My bottle has broken five times in my life, that was the fourth. Each time it has broken, I learnt/gain a new (part) of my worldview (i.e. it becomes more complete and healthy), an inevitable case of "progressing with life". I usually say that I have gained "five shields", which made my bottle [and the materials inside it] more durable.

I remember my mom telling me that in her country if you didn’t pass a college final you were allowed to retake it one more time. Then if you didn’t pass the exam for the 2nd time, you would have to retake the class. I think we don’t consider emotions or how we feel enough. At least you can recall and grow from it. I just block it out of my life
