Great reaction, to add more "food for the soul" I don't know if you remember but in a previous episode, (maybe it was the Kawasaki episode of season 1 ? Someone will have to correct me if I'm wrong) there was a discussion about what Hachiman was doing after school a few years ago, Komachi said something along the lines of "yeah he didn't have any activites outside schools because he had to get home to take care of me" and the conversation/jokes was about reasons for him being a loner or something. I'm pretty sure she thinks this is a kind of payback, her doing chores and stuff like that, she also maybe feels guilty about possibly being one of the reasons he didn't have friends since he didn't have activities after schools and had to take care of her, at least thats how I see it. Those 2 are just so sweet and that gratitude is so god damn heartwarming

Yeah that was one of my favorite moments from season 1, and it’s really great to see it fully play out to this moment here in the final season. And yes it was the Kawasaki episode, episode 5.
