I love this show so much I literally anticipate reactions for it, and the way you analyse stuff is entertaining so I clicked this notification immediately lol.

I read the manga chapters (i never read ahead of where the anime is up to), and from what I can tell no, last episode was NOT a compilation of chapters over the years. It was in order and that. Chapters 71 to 75 I think.

The mangaka released the valentines chapters on her twitter like 2 years before they were part of the official story. It just shows how far ahead she's planned the story

Aaah I see, makes sense, but in the actual serialised manga it IS in order, and yeah Norio Sakurai is genius in that case.

The ironic part about the translation is that the translation you're using is actually WAY more accurate than when I first watched it on aniwave. However the 2 things you picked out so far (about the ninjas and the hot food) that translation actually got right. Overall the subs you're using now are much better tho, and aniwave actually *yoinked* these subtitles about 2 hours after the episode came out anyway lol.

I JUST noticed, she wanted to switch seats because she wanted to be on his side that wasn't covered by his hair. These small details are genius. Edit: you noticed, and others pointed it out too hahaha, oof moment.

Merci is french for thank you, then Ichikawa says "un" which is "yeah" in japanese and he loses

I know what it Merci means lol, but she clearly said Arigato so translating it to Merci instead of "Thank you" is just weird. But I guess in the game you can only say one word. And for Japan Arigato IS one word, but thank you wouldn't fit within the bounds of the game. So they just decided to put Merci XD

I have been warned to not use Aniwave for dangers because they always post unofficial subs for the first few hours. Then adopt the actual HIDIVE subs later

I read the Manga ahead and oh Man this Episode was so good, but the next Episode will develope Ichikawa even further. He will be a absolute Badass!

The OST in this show really is S tier, on the same level as AOTs OST imo, hard to compare them tho since they're completely different.

I believe he's thinking that if she got fired she would be more within his grasp and for only him to see, which is why he was happy when she was cut out of that TV show in season 1, BUT he wants her to be happy and realises that her career is part of what made her who she is, and into the girl he loves.

The word game they’re playing, Shiritori, also has another rule: the word you say has to start with the last kana of the last word. For example: Sakura -> Raigetsu -> Tsundere -> Reikan (this word loses because it ends with an n). Think of it like a word game where you say a word that starts with the last letter of the previous word. That’s why they used Merci in the translation, because the last word Ichikawa said was Emblem. It was probably the best word they could have used too, except if maybe they translated “Emblem” differently.
