You can't call her Mamada but Yamama is fine. Ichi is actually only 13 but he'll turn 14 soon. Middle school in japan is 3 years, 7, 8, 9th grade and they are currently in the 2nd year. Kana is 20, she had her coming of age ceremony recently (Ichi showed Yamada a picture of her in a kimino back in ep 1).

Great reaction, there is only one possible explanation in the frame where the Yamada's are around him on the couch : he is being adopted against his will.

Yeah that's what it was, I couldn't remember what not to call her, so I just didn't even try XD. And yeah I guess that makes sense that if you're allowed to drink at 20 that's considered your "coming of age." I just didn't know at what age those ceremonies were held.

I know the joke was that Yamadad saw Ichikawa wearing a shirt with "Yamada" on it. But I like to think he was calling him Yamada because he wanted him to be part of the family to play games or something lol

The nicknames are the last names with the first and last syllables switched around. Yamada becomes Dayama and Kobayashi (Chii) becomes BayashiKo

One other thing I wanted to point out is that during the scene where he talks to his sister about wanting to be Yamada’s boyfriend, he refers to himself using “Boku wa” instead of “Ore wa”. He’s truly talking straight from the heart.

This is in my opinion the weakeest episode since episode 4, but it's still SUPER good, Peak show.

Xaniss

Ichikawa is 13 or 14, and his sister is 20. they're 2nd years in middle school.

Also remember that in Ep 6 Yamada literally said she thinks it would be fun to have a secret relationship.

Great reaction to another episode of peak, so glad to see all the character development for Ichikawa, love to see it.
