Peak episode! That's all I can really say.

No text will do this episode justice lol, so I'll let my reaction speak for itself.

Sorry about some of the audio being REALLY LOUD at some parts of this one, I fucked up on editing the audio a little bit. It doesn't seem to effect the whole video, but I still apologize about the bad parts.

Yamada feels super guilty about his injury and this wasn't the first time either, when he got sick because she stopped him in the rain and forgot her bag on his bike she also blamed herself. It's been piling up.

She had already helped by texting Yamada but if she set up everything after by hanging up the dog, she is easily the biggest W of the episode

A great first episode for sure, so many good moments taking place. Notice Ichikawa is no longer reading a murder book but some other book as well.

Wow, they really did start off this season 2 with an exceptional episode. So great to in particular see all the growth from Ichikawa from the start of season 1. I like how you went back to watch that ending scene again. I wonder if the reason after she pulled Ichikawa close but didn't / couldn't hug him is if she was already thinking of inviting him over and was too nervous.... And yeah, both the OP and ED are amazing and fit so well. Amazing production value. The OST continues to be great. I agree, if they keep this up overall, we really could have a contender for anime of the year.

Season 1 was ALREADY a contender for me, and from what a lot of the youtube comments have been saying, this was literally nothing compared to how good MOST of the episodes the rest of this season are set to be. So it seriously might earn itself that spot...

Yes, well said! I am in the same position, and am beyond exited for this season. I will most certainly be reading the manga after this season. I don't think I have been this excited and impressed for the first episode for a show so early in the year and already feeling anime of the year contention, since the first episode of A Place Further than the Universe a few years go. Granted I am also excited for the continuation of Frieren, so this is a very exciting season of anime to follow without even talking about the completely new shows.

I love how Yamada KNOWS he didn't mean it, and pushes/forces him to be honest and apologise properly before forgiving him. In other Rom-coms we'd have had a whole episode or 2 before that happened. That's what I love about this one, it isn't fucking ANNOYING.
