This honestly might be one of my favorite episodes of the entire series, the storytelling was on another level. 

I'm genuinely surprised at how this show continues to one up itself, but honestly at this point I shouldn't be. Madhouse is killing it with this one.

I'm happy we got the Frieren back story this episode and we didn't have to wait or they dragged it out longer. I also like how basically they are using almost a real world timeline with first the Greek/Roman era and then moving into the Medieval era which really are about a 1k years apart roughly.

Man this series really is something special. Just a feeling.... Yeah that "fight" was pretty amazing. I especially love the subversion of expectations. Last episode we had the epic, impeccably animated fight which leads us to expect something even more above and beyond those same lines here. We get something very different yet extremely impactful in it's own way. Love it.

I'm so glad someone other than me actually noticed the difference in civilization when they swapped between current time and the past with Flamme, none of the other reactors I've seen actually mentioned it.
