Rachel is one example of how to do a character like her PERFECTLY because she is a shitty person but she's not just a mean person for no reason. She has her goals and reasons for what she does and in a way that doesn't redeem her but make the viewer understand why she does them.

I also was introduced to this series through the anime, and have since been reading the manhua. This show was quite controversial and disliked because of how it skipped stuff etc, and though I agree it's disappointing that stuff was missed, I still believe this season did the manhua justice. The art style, the music, the general feelings of unknown, unease and sock the show gives you, its so good. Looking forward to s2
