Mob AU Illustration process & hi-res (Patreon)

Started out with the usual sketch and started to get inking done! I'm actually using the office from Night and the City as very vague reference (The scene with Sylvia and Henry is from an RP I'm doing with Draculing- I figured we'd need an easy location so I pinched that one :P)

Blocking down a grey screentone and adding some lighting!


Here I thought I was finished, so I saved, and realised that ALL my dark tones had been...some kinda optical illusion? Below is what I saw when I was working on it in photoshop, and the right is what it saved like!
Disaster! I had no idea how to make it look the same as the screen ;;

I ended up going under all the screentone with regular tone so I could keep the lighting effect I had on the screen. I don't think it looks as good as the original did on my screen, but I guess I'll learn for next time! Screentones are jerks and lie to you >:I

Here's what it looks like with the screentones back on- you can see the screentones alone on the lineless tone pic earlier on, and they had no depth!

Finals! I went over some bits with a chunkier screentone (the light from the lighter especially) to give it some more texture!

I'll have the monthly content out in a few days, and a page of charity case later in the week as usual!
