CHAPTER 2: RED SKY IN THE MORNING
The morning the storm was supposed to start, the sky was bright red and pink, “sailor’s warning” she thought to herself as she squeaked open the old window to her fire escape. The old window only opened somewhat, just enough for Julie to get her head and shoulders out, though even that was tight. She rested her chins on her fat arms, crossed on the window sill, watching the sunrise. She wished she could sit out on the fire escape like people did in the movies.
“You prepared?” came a raspy voice from across the alley.
“Oh!” Julie jumped, bumping her head on the window, “ow, ow, ow.”
“Sorry, sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you.”
Julie saw across the alley on the next building was a thin woman with short hair wearing flannel pajamas and smoking a joint on her fire escape.
“I’m fine,” Julie rubbed her head, the woman seemed so cool and relaxed on her fire escape, like a cowgirl in the city, “I’m Julie.”
“Joe, we’re two ‘J’s’, ha,” Joe held out her joint, “Do you smoke?”
“I do, sometimes, but I can’t get out onto my fire escape, the old windows don’t open in our building,” Julie said disappointedly, she really wanted to get high and watch the sunrise with this cool cowgirl.
“The old windows are fine, they’re just screwed shut.”
“What! Really?!”
“I’m pretty sure, the same landlord owns this whole block, they did the same thing in my place, screwed my windows shut and said the old windows don’t open. I found the blocks they screwed in and took them out, it’s illegal to block a fire escape.”
“I said that when they showed me the place! They said if the building was on fire I could smash the window.”
“Typical.”
“So, where are they?” Julie was trying to back into the house but finding the frame tight against her boobs, she tugged herself back, trying to remain graceful in front of the cute cowgirl, she swayed her great hips back and forth until the momentum scooted her backwards, she breathed a secret sigh of relief.
Joe was a bit struck by watching Julie unwedge herself there, “Th-there-uh, just small wood blocks screwed in near the top, you won’t see them unless you’re up on a step ladder.”
Julie quickly grabbed a screwdriver from the drawer and dragged a chair over to the window. She wasn’t 100% confident in her ability to balance on a chair or the chair’s ability to hold her. But she wanted to keep talking to Joe and maybe flirt.
There were the blocks, just like Joe said, “bastards!”
The screws came out easy enough, she plopped down from the chair with a bit louder thud than she’d anticipated, she felt lucky she didn’t crash through the floor. She tossed the blocks and screws on the counter and opened the window. It worked!
“It worked!” Julie beamed as she threw one arm and one leg out the window and laid her great belly across the window frame, even with the window fully open, Julie had to pull and push and hold her breath to squeeze through sideways. It took a few moments.
The old cast iron fire escape creaked under her weight. It was thrilling, being in the open air, with the pink sky.
Joe was speechless, she had caught glimpses of Julie around the neighborhood, and when she saw her through the window one evening she couldn’t believe this adorable enormous woman lived in the building next door. But seeing Julie this close, in only boxers and a tank top, her true size made Joe feel dizzy, which was dangerous leaning over a fire escape.
Julie and Joe reached across the void to pass the joint. Julie, being rather short and stubby, needed Joe to bridge the gap.
Julie took a puff, and offered it back to Joe, but Joe was already lighting another one, “you keep it, I stocked up before the storm.”
“Haha, me too,” Julie laughed, but she didn’t clarify that she meant food not weed, “I haven’t had a whole joint in years, I’m going to get the munchies.”
“D-do you want me to toss you some snacks?” Joe was blushing and trying to stop blushing.
“No I have so much food, SO MUCH, but now I’m going to get high and eat it all before the first raindrop,” Julie giggled.
As if on cue, the sky opened up and it started raining.
“There it is,” proclaimed Joe, disappointed their meet cute had been cut short.
“Oh no!” Julie laughed.
Joe swung a leg in her window hoping to get a last word with Julie before they were separated, but looking back across the gap she was met with Julie’s enormous ass jiggling in the air! Joe couldn’t contain her gasp, instead of shimmying through the window sideways like she’d come out, Julie had dove back in head first, and appeared to be having trouble getting her bottom half to follow her.
Huffing and puffing and red faced and still laughing, Julie tried to pull herself back in the window, “I’m getting soaked!”
Joe was frozen, Julie’s boxers were wet through, and clinging to her every jiggling curve.
“Don’t suppose you can come over and give me a push?” Julie laughed back through the window at Joe.
Joe scrambled to the railing and tried to gauge the jump from one fire escape to the next, in the rain, in a hurricane. She was maybe tall enough to step across, but she would hate to misjudge it this high off the ground. She tried to figure out what rock climbing gear she had in the closet that she could use to get across.
Scooting herself one side and then the other, Julie inched through the window like an alligator slowly crawling on her belly, Her lower belly, seemed to be caught under the window sill, this was the absolute wrong angle to be climbing through the window. She kicked a leg up into the air, then the other, bringing her legs up gave her a boost from gravity, which scooted her a bit further, and a bit further as she kicked the air.
Joe grabbed her rope and clips and dragged them to the window only to see the largest point of Julie’s belly and butt squish through the window, leaving her fat thighs caught and kicking for a moment before they too squeezed through.
As Julie sat back up off the ground, Joe dropped her gear and kicked it behind her.
“That was, inelegant,” Julie laughed, out of breath, “I’m sorry you had to see that.”
“I’m so glad I got to see that,” Joe called back with as much flirtatious energy she could muster even as her voice shook.
Julie blushed, she held up the joint, “Thanks!”
“My pleasure!” Joe didn’t want their interaction to end but the rain started coming down harder.
They both closed their windows, and waved goodbye to the blurry figure across the way.
Julie took another hit, “what a TERRIBLE first impression!”
Her tummy rumbled in response. She peeled off her soaking wet boxers and draped them over the radiator and got a pair of panties and sweatpants from her dresser.
She poured herself a bowl of marshmallow cereal and brought it with her to the sofa where she smoked and watched the rain against the windows, a realization hit her “you dummy!”
Julie flopped her head back, staring up at the ceiling, “you didn’t get her number.”
Joe collapsed to her knees and shoved her hand down her flannel pajama bottoms and her panties- huff, huff, huff. Bracing herself with her free hand against the window, watching the silhouette across the way through the rain waddle to the kitchen, Joe fingered herself furiously, cumming faster than she’d ever cum before, UNCH UNCH UNCH
Her head plonked against the window as she slumped over, catching her breath, a realization hit her.
“You idiot,” she flopped onto the ground and stared up at the ceiling, “you didn’t get her number.”
