The only girl in Smart Kid Week!

Cecile is a little nicer than the first two kids, at least initially. She greets her new classmate Bart a little more normally and with a friendly tone. Later she is seen laughing at Bart's stupidity in the canteen, although I am willing to cut her a little slack as it's probably hard for her to be accepted in what appears to be a very male-heavy environment.

She does present us with the paradox "if you want peace you must prepare for war", which, along with her willingness to experiment on hamsters, may give us an insight into her psyche. Perhaps life is expendable to Cecile, and she will treat other living creatures horribly to achieve her own goals.

Or maybe 58 entries of overanalysing Simpsons characters is slowly driving me insane. Who knows?

Cecile has a few more background appearances as part of Springfield Elementary! Perhaps her violent lust for blood eventually got her expelled from the Enriched Learning Center for Gifted Children.

I've drawn Cecile with her control hamster here because if there is ever a Cecile Shapiro action figure, and we all pray someday there will be, I think the purple hamster should be her accessory.
