Hello everyone,

vote for Update 15 was won by Argentina so it will be added in this update. The second placed Republic of Ireland will be added in Update 16.

So in Update 15 will be Brazil, Argentina, Montenegro+ and El Salvador+. I made a little mistake because when I was looking at voting for Update 15 ten minutes before end, Montenegro+ was second but after end it was second with El Salvador+, I saw it later so that's why I wasn't talk about it. Today the text is little bit longer, so you can always go down for info about Update 16.

  • Montenegro+ - added missing things + youth leagues

  • El Salvador+ - there is lots of missing things (like in all Central American nation), added missing clubs, stadiums, cities, competitions. Unfortunately something broken in the format and I have to create it from scratch, which is on one hand good (so I can make it better) but on other hand it will needs lots of testing if everything works fine, so maybe it will be ready for Update 16 (it will depend on Argentina too)

  • Brazil - It has only plus version because otherwise it would be impossible to create. There is little visual thing that might bother some people which is desribed before Argentina. Now I will describe first how Brazilian football acutally works and how Serie D works, because I'm not sure if anyone knows it.

So in Brazil there are State Championships (26 states + Distrito Federal) and National Championship (Seria A, B, C, D) , State Championships are played from Januray to April (at least first levels) with teams from Serie A,B,C,D. National Championships are played after State Championships (April to December). From State Championships teams qualify into the Serie D, only teams that are not playing in Serie A,B or C can qualify.

Serie D - it is played by 64 teams that are divided into 8 groups based on region. Number of teams qualified from each State is based on coefficient. Teams that qualify from State league play Serie D next season (example: they qualify in 2024, they play Serie D in 2025), teams that are relegated from Serie C have automatically spot in next year's Serie D. From each group four teams are qualified to knockout phase, it is played on two legs, winners in quarterfinal are promoted to Serie C.

In game the coefficient thing is impossible to make so the number of qualified teams from each state is fixed based on coefficient in 2024 but the rest is working the same way like in reality.
You can start either in 2023 season or 2024 season. Now there will be desription of some of the changes in National Championships and Serie D which will be avaible like always in text file:

    Serie A

    •  max 7 foreigner players in matchsquad (2023), max 9 foreigner players in matchsquad (from 2024)

    • TV deal is divided into three blocks, 40% is equal share for each team, 30% is share based on number of broadcastet matches, 30% is prize money pool based on rankings, also teams have their own contracts with broadcasters which gave them more guaranteed money

    • equal share: 31,9 millions R$ for each team

    • broadcasted matches share: matches are shown on TV Globo SporTV (cca 1 million R$ for each team) or pay-per-view (info next line)

    • pay-per-view Premium FC (hard to calculate this, it is based on number of buys from fans, money divided is based on total reputation of both clubs):
if reputation of both teams is bigger than 15,500: both teams will get 500,000 R$
if reputation of both teams is between 14,500-15,500: both teams will get 400,000R$
if reputation of both teams is between 14,000-14,500: both teams will get 300,000R$
if reputation of both teams is between 13,000-14,000: both teams will get 200,000R$
if reputation of both teams is lower than 13,000: both teams will get 100,000 R$
So for example match between Flamengo (reputation 7750) and Palmeiras (reputation 7750) will get both of them 500,000 R$ but match between Goias (reputation 6000) and Coritiba (reputation 6050) will get both teams only 100,000 R$, it is not perfect but at least it's simulating little bit the pay-per-view system

    • corrected stadium rules

    • there was split of ticket revenue configured but according the regulations all revenue belongs to home team, so I deleted this rule

    Serie B, C

    •  max 5 foreigner players in matchsquad (2023), max 9 foreigner players in matchsquad (from 2024)

    • corrected stadium rules, TV money, prize money, participation money

    • there was split of ticket revenue configured but according the regulations all revenue belongs to home team, so I deleted this rule

    Serie D

    • max 5 foreigners in matchsquad (2023), max 9 foreingers in matchsquad (from 2024)

    • added participation money

    • VAR: yes from quarterfinal

    • league has two phases (First phase, Second phase)
First Phase - 64 teams are divided into 8 groups based region, they play twice each other, best 4 from each group go to Second Phase
Second Phase - 32 teams play here in knockout phase, matches are played on two legs, First round and Round of 16 are drawn based on region
      - in quarterfinal teams ranked by points (1th plays with 8th, 2nd with 7th etc)
      - teams that win at quarterfinal are promoted to Serie C

    • teams are qualifying into Serie D from State Championships/Cups (teams that qualify from state league in 2024 play Serie D next year(2025), that's how it normally works)

    • teams relegated from Serie C qualify automatically into next year's Serie D (teams that relegated from Serie C in 2024 play automatically in Serie D in 2025)

    • winner's of State cups can choose between place in next year's Serie D and Copa do Brasil, in FM there is no way to recreate this, so winner have Serie D place and runner-up Copa do Brasil place

    • in case that winner of State cup is on place in league that guarantees place in next year's Serie D then that place will get next ranked team in league

    • if State cup winner or State league team that has guaranteed place in next year's Serie D was promoted in this year's Serie D then his next year's place is given to next best ranked team in the State league

    • teams from Serie A, B and C cannot be qualified into Serie D through State leagues

    • number of teams qualified from State Championships is based on coefficient from 2024:
1 4 teams | São Paulo (winner of Copa Paulista + 3 best from league)

2 3 teams | Rio de Janeiro (winner of Copa Rio + 2 best from league)

3 3 teams | Minas Gerais (3 best teams from league)

4 3 teams | Rio Grande do Sul (3 best teams from league)

5 3 teams | Paraná (3 best teams from league)

6 3 teams | Ceará (3 best teams from league)

7 3 teams | Goiás (3 best teams from league)

8 3 teams | Santa Catarina (3 best teams from league)

9 3 teams | Bahia (3 best teams from league)

10 2 teams | Pernambuco (2 best teams from league)

11 2 teams | Alagoas (winner of Copa Alagoas + best team from league)

12 2 teams | Mato Grosso (winner of Copa FMF + best team from league)

13 2 teams | Pará (2 best teams from league)

14 2 teams | Maranhão (2 best teams from league)

15 2 teams | Rio Grande do Norte (2 best teams from league)

16 2 teams | Paraíba (2 best teams from league)

17 2 teams | Amazonas (2 best teams from league)

18 2 teams | Sergipe (2 best teams from league)

19 2 teams | Piauí (2 best teams from league)

20 2 teams | Federal District (2 best teams from league)

21 2 teams | Espírito Santo (winner of Copa Espirito Santo + best team from league)

22 2 teams | Acre (2 best teams from league)

23 2 teams | Tocantins (2 best teams from league)

24 1 team | Roraima (best team from league)

25 1 team | Mato Grosso do Sul (best team from league)

26 1 team | Rondônia (best team from league)

27 1 team | Amapá (best team from league)

    State Leauges/Cups

    • increased foreigner players in match squad from seasaon 2024 from 5 to 7, don't know if there is a plan to go to 9 from 2025

    • added missing State cups (Copa Espirito Santo, Copa Alagoas, Copa FMF etc.) and their history, formats are based on the last time they were played (some were played in 2023, some in 2024), teams from Serie A, B, C don't play in State cups

    • Copa Espirito Santo runner-up qualifies into Copa Verde (other cups have runner-up teams to Copa do Brazil)

    • winners of Copa Rio Grande do Sul, Copa Santa Catarina, Copa Fares Lopes (Ceará) play Copa do Brazil

So to make this all work I had to create "fake" leagues (you could see them in Hong Kong or Uruguay+), they are there so you can actually pick which team you want to manage from menu, otherwise you wouldn't be able to choose your team. But this time I needed to change some things so the history of Serie D is properly written to club history. It's about the positional graphs and history league (how many matches you played, wins, draws etc.) in that year, to make it acutally work I had to make board judge you based on that "fake" league, it's literally only visiual, board will want for example in that "fake" league top5 but they reserve judgment until you will play some matches in that league, the joke is that there are no matches there, I test it with multiple clubs and I looked every two months what Board says about my performance in league and whole season it's just "we reserve judgment until you will play some matches there". It's just a visual thing that you can ignore and when you promote to Serie C it will disappear . This information will be on top of the text file so you can always read it if you would forget about this.

  • Argentina - it is all based only on season 2024, the original plan was to have both years but there were some errors so I chosed to do only 2024 season. For now third level is copleted and what formats of both competitions

Torneo Federal A - one of the two third level leagues, it has lots of phases and I will try to describe it here.

    • First phase 38 teams is divided into 4 groups based on region, they play twice each other, best 5 (from groups with 10 teams) and best 4 (from groups with 9 teams) go to Second phase, the rest of the teams go to Revalidation (Reválida) First phase.

    • Second phase - 18 teams from First phase are divided into 2 groups, teams play once each other in their groups, best two teams go to Third phase, rest of the teams go to Revalidation Second phase.

    •  Third phase - 4 teams play semifinal (two legs) and final (one leg), winner of final is champion and promoted to Second Division, losers from semifinal and final go to Revalidation Third phase

    •  Revalidation First phase - all teams that didn't qualify to Second phase are playing here (20 teams), they are divided into two groups and they play once each other. Best six teams from each group go to Revalidation Second phase. Two teams that have combined stats of First phase and Revalidation phase are relegated

    •  Revalidation Second phase - 12 teams from Revalidation First phase + 14 teams from Second phase play knockout round on two legs, teams from Revalidation First phase cannot play against each other, winners go to Revalidation Third phase

    • Revalidation Third phase - 13 teams from Revalidation Second phase + 3 teams from Third phase play knockout matches (all matches are on two legs), winner of this stage qualifies to Final Promotion playoff against team from Metropolitan Zone B

Metropolitan Zone B - 22 teams play twice each other, once in Apertura, once in Clausura, winners of Apertura and Clausura qualify into Championship Final

    • Championship final - it is played on two legs and winner is champion and promoted, loser go to promotion playoff

    • Promotion playoff - there are two promotion playoff, one is played if both Apertura and Clausura is won by different team and other is played only when both stages are won by same team.

    •  Promotion playoff (Apertura + Clausura won by different team) - 6 teams from overall table (which are not winners of Apertura and Clausura) play First round on two legs, winners go to Semifnal where are joined by team that lost in Championship final, winner of Promotion playoff plays Final against team from Torneo Federal A

    •  Promotion playoff (Apertura + Clausura won by same team) - 8 teams from overall table (except winner of league) play knockout tournament, winner plays Final against team from Torneo Federal A

What a fun formats, I really enjoyed creating. Changed is qualification for Argentina Cup so it works like in reality. Fourth level is kind of complicated because the Federal league is divided into more than 60 leagues (which are not in database) so I will try to simplified it only to the final tournament (which still has more then 300 teams)

For Update 16 there will be the "clean" version of Czech Republic withadditional databases, Republic of Ireland, maybe El Salvador+ if I will not complete it in time and for voting I will put some Oceania nations + CONCACAF Youth League (some U19 league like in case of UEFA)

I had really lots of fun with the Brazil, I didn't really planned to create it but I was watching some videos about brazilian players and brazilian leagues and I just wanted to create it, because I believe there is no database that works this realistically with Serie D. In future I plan to add the second divisions of State leagues. With this update all South American nations should be playable with more realistical rules and formats.

Thank you for your support and I wish you nice weekend :)
