October 2022 Sketches 9 - Genji (Overwatch) (Patreon)

Here's a picture featuring Genji from Overwatch. The idea was suggested by idk_sth.

"This one's got more of a "horror" vibe. Moira experimenting on Genji after kidnapping him (Moira being a Talon agent). Moira would inject him with a powerful and dangerous serum with the intent of "mutating" him into an extremely powerful monster/asset/beast/brute, like a brainwashed supersoldier (or similar to how the Shimmer works in Arcane). However the results are beyond expectations, and the experiment does not go the way she intended. This could go two ways: classical macro/muscle growth route (belly variant is always appreciated), where Genji becomes so powerful he overgrows Moira's lab... Or, as a more fun and on-theme alternative, the effect of the serum could make him grow by eating - after being injected with the serum, he gets an initial growth spurt, but it doesn't entirely stop there: he quickly becomes ravenous and is losing control to the serum (and maybe even the dragon spirit within him, which could progressively give him green dragon-like features like wings, horns or glowing eyes to further encance the "horror, transformation, loss of control, halloween" vibe? Up to you!). After breaking free from his restraints, he proceeds to devour the contents of Moira's lab fridge (maybe even drinking some potions and perhaps even the fridge itself lmao). This only makes him grow further, of course, and his hunger grows alongside him. Soon he beings devouring other Talon members, and his rampage continues on until he overgrows the entire facility. Now, an absolutely MASSIVE and out of control Genji is free, completely (or not) under another influence's control (again, serum and maybe dragon?). Not even Moira can control him, even if she hasn't been eaten by this point. His only desire is to continue to eat, and grow, and EAT, and GROW! Until the whole world's been consumed by him. Tracer often says the world could always use more heroes, but not even all the heroes in the world can stop Genji now.  As always, bonus points if he gets a belly and gets burpy in the process, hehe! >w<  (I dunno how he'd get burpy in the first scenario but hey, I am not one to complain!)  Originally I think I had a 3rd scenario, but I think these two should be enough, hehe, this comment is way too long as it is! Of course, feel free to mix and match ideas, and to take creative liberties!"

I think the suggestion works very nicely as a story on its own. Good job!

So here's Genji  after eating most of the lab, still eating people, and hungry for more.
