June 2022 Sketches 9 - Balthier (Final Fantasy XII) (Patreon)

Here's a picture featuring Balthier from Final Fantasy XII. The idea was suggested by JT's Channel.

"Balthier from Final Fantasy XII finds a piece of Magicite never before seen. Upon touching it, he absorbs it, and the gem's magic triggers a change in him. He begins to eat voraciously and grow enormously, and it doesn't look like it's going to stop any time soon, even as he towers into the sky. The "leading man" really has taken center stage now, with huge muscles and a big belly to boot! ;P"

Balthier was suddenly ambushed  by a bunch of Bangaa gangs, them seeking for revenge on the sky pirate. As they were too many, he couldn't do much but to just let himself be taken to their lair.

As they were going through their lair, he had less bangaa scorting him towards his prison. As they got closer, Balthier couldn't help himself but to see a glimmer down a hall they passed...his keen eye able to see a bunch of treasure in the room at the end of the hall! Seeing as the bangaa got too cocky to give him a more numerous scort, he kicked the two bangaa that scorted him unconscious, getting the keys, and getting free of his shackles.

He swiftly went to the treasure room, finding all kinds of jewels he's never seen. He started pocketing some, at least, as many as he could fit in some bags he stole from the unconscious bangaa. He kept on filling them up...until he found a treasure that got the most of his attention. A ring with a big emerald on it. The prettiness was so enticing that he couldn't help but to just put it on...And as he did, his stomach started to growl an hurt violently, as if he hadnt eaten in months! The hunger also came with a stronger sense of smell, letting him detect any nearby source of food. He rushed towards where the food aroma led him, leading him where most of the gang of bangaa were having something to eat!

Not caring about being seen, he rushed towards the closest bangaa with food, tackled him and robbed their food, gulping it down inmediatedly. The other bangaa, of course, weren't having any of that, and approached him menacingly, cracking their knuckles. But as they got close, Balthier's body started to visibly vibrate...

*BWOOMPH* Balthier's whole body expanded bigger, shredding most of his clothes into tatters as he grew, his body becoming taller and beefier, his mass bouncing any bangaa off that was close enough. The gang of thieves were confused with this, too confused to stop Balthier on its tracks to keep on eating more of the food...and expanding even further the more he ate!

THe bangaa gang didn't realize when they were already dealing with a gigantic Balthier whose head was close to crash through the ceiling of the subterranean lair! At that size, Balthier couldn't see any more food to eat...but all the multicolored bangaa seemed quite tasty right then and there....

And so, Balthier started to reach out and grab any bangaa he could reach, and swallowing them whole! Making him grow even more, filling more and more of the whole lair as he ate more gang members. Many tried to run away, but most, if not all of them, ended up being catched and eaten by the gluttonous, growing sky pirate...

Once he seemingly wiped out the whole gang of bandits, Balthier let out a loud belch that made the whole lair shake as if it was an earthquake. That seeming to trigger some kind of "overdrive" in his growth, and violently surged much bigger all of a sudden! Surging out of the lair, coming out of the sandy ground of the desert!

Meanwhile, the rest of Balthier's partners were on their way to save him as they received signals that he was in danger...but they arrived just in time to see their sky pirate partner at full display, towering over all over the desert land, their ship not bigger than his hand.

Balthier, as he became satisfied with his meal (for now), looked down at the lil' ship, recognizing it inmediatedly. He smirked down at them, and casually explained them that he was doing just fine...as if it wasn't obvious enough for EVERYONE that was able to see the giant, greedy sky pirate looming over the place.
