Calamity Devourer (Sketch Commission) (Patreon)

A pending commission for MadMutter that I needed to finish a while ago.

A sketch, comic commission featuring Link from Breath of the Wild.

In events prior to the comic, Link found a hidden shrine close to the Yiga Clan's hideout. It seemed like in it, The Yiga were developing some kind of new feature for the Sheikah Slate, but to use it with their own technology. Link wasn't sure what it did, but since it seemed like a habit, he put his slate on the pedestal to let the Sheikah (Or in this case, Yiga) drop add the new feature. But the moment the drop fell on the slate, the whole structure crumbled. I seems like the Yiga's experimentation made the structure very unstable. Link, taking the chance that the noise served as a distraction for the Yiga guards, sneaked out of the shrine, and went back to his mission, free the Divine Beasts.

In this comic, Link heads to the Divine Beast Vah Rudania, which hides inside the the active volcano, Death Mountain.

I'll be explaining each page, in case they aren't clear enough.

Page 1: Title page, Link flying down towards Rudania.

Page 2: Link defeats an enemy, and the slate "forces" him to point at the defeated enemy. DOing so, the slate absorbs the "Calamity Energy" out of the remains of the enemy. Link, curious, tries to see what's going on with the slate, but the moment he takes it closer to his face, it bursts, releasing black and pink energy out of it, and inmediately melting into Link's body, making him grow in size and strength, before Link could digest all that was going on, he sees a bunch of enemies heading his way.

Page 3: Link easily defeats the enemies with his newfound power, using his bare hands to do so. This time, the Calamity Energy from the enemies flies directly to Link's body. And since they were many more sources of energy, the growth is much more noticeable. Link, becoming kind of power hungry, spots the place where Ganon's Blight is resting.

Page 4: Link wasily leaps towards the source of the darkness, and lands with a loud thud. He puts his hand inside the source, and easily fishes out the Blight hiding inside, slamming it into the ground.

Page 5: Taken by surprise, the Blight barely had any time to reach, before he was suplexed into submission by Link, who proceeded to bite it's mask. Doing so, he could directly drain the Calamity Energy out of the Blight, draining it dry in no time, easily crushing the mask with one hand after he was done eating it.

Page 6: Hungry for more, he slammed his hands on the Divine Beast, now absorbing all the remaining Calamity Energy out of it, growing even faster than before with the bigger source of energy. His size and weight making Rudania lose its balance.

Page 7: While they fall into the lava, Link bear hugs Rudania, crushing it with his muscles, absorbing both the Calamity and Divine energy out of it.

Page 8: Link has a huge growth spurt with all the energy he absorbed, and bursts out of the the volcano, flexing with satisfaction after gaining so much power.

Page 9: Link breaks out of the volcano, leaning on the remains to appreciate his new, huge body. But before he could even start admiring his own massiveness, his belly growls out of hunger, like he hasn't eaten for days. Figures, since even at his normal size, he was quite the glutton. Looking for any kind of food, he was able to spot the Divine Beast Vah Medoh. It seems like Link has spotted his next meal...
