What Even Is Blaire White, At This Point

Despite the mountains of hate and bigotry generated by the most deeply loser-mode youtubers, I'm glad to see that Mr. Beast did not waver in his support of his friend. Mr. Beast has a dystopian stranglehold on the attention span of every child, which is probably bad. But maybe by being a good friend to Kris, Mr. Beast can be an actual role model for kids. Hopefully his viewers grow up to love and accept their trans friends. But more likely they will just grow up having never left the confines of an ever-shrinking circle, each day praying that their gleaming savior will descend from the heavens, burger-in-hand, bar-in-other hand, and reward them for their martyrdom.

It’s always frustrating to hear people justify their transphobia by dragging kids into things. It feels so obvious that them saying “oh I don’t mind it if an adult is trans, but exposing gender nonconformity to kids is sus” really means that they think being trans is deviant and disgusting, which is why minors shouldn’t be influenced by it. At the same time, exposing minors to adult concepts is completely fine if it’s supporting the gender binary. A father taking a picture of his girl child playing dress up with heels wouldn’t be met with the same accusations, even with the same caption. It’s a common joke to say a literal baby is flirting with adults of the opposite gender, which in context is obviously not used in a sinister way. Plenty of media shows heteronormative kissing, flirting, and implied sexual relations. To treat gender nonconformity as inappropriate for children is to say it is more disgusting and bad than gender conformity. What’s more upsetting is how some people know that’s how that stance comes across, so they won’t blatantly call trans people bad but they will try to up the stakes of the children’s safety by accusing trans people of being predators. Trying to save children from pedophiles is a noble cause, and makes their bigotry sound more rational. Trying to say “I don’t like this person but not because she’s trans, but because I’m trying to slander her as a pedophile” is maddening though because if she thought this person was a pedophile, she would have called her out for it before she came out as trans. It makes it look like she only cares to call out a predator if they come out as trans, but before that it wasn’t worth looking into. Having said all of this, I am absolutely baffled and confused as to how a trans woman could engage in this kind of argument against another trans woman. I’d love to learn more about the mentality of conservative lgbt people and how they see their world
